How effective are spring traps?

We've all heard of the giant healer combo, I'm sure. If you haven't tried it out let me tell you it is one of the best combinations for the widest variety of bases. It has one huge weakness though! Giants prioritize defenses. Yes, that's its weakness. By using this information you can set up a funnel which I do in this video. First I have a hidden tesla to group the giants up in a large pile. Then it's as simple as knowing where they are going to attack next, and seeing as the cannon is the closest defense (as I said above they prioritize attacking towers), they go after it. Then it's just a matter of placing your ambush. Spring traps can be the most effective defense out of your whole arsenal of towers, because, how can they fight without an army? 3 spring traps take out about 12/16 of his giants, is that worth 6 k gold? I think so.Please enjoy this demonstration of how effective spring traps are.

Thanks for vid, but this is well known. That's what spring trtaps are for, and why clever players throw in some barbs or gobs to take them out first. 6k spent on a chucking out a handful of lower tier troops isn't great. Anyone using giants like your vid shows deserves to be slaughtered!

Lol yeah the didnt use them very effectively but I know it well know, though some players have trouble funneling and this is just the easiest way to set it up.

Spring traps arent that great when your raiders use tier 1 troops against you. Cool, your Spring trap launched 5 barbs, I can send 30 more. :P

Lol I have to say right now though that the main reason I did this video is because I just got display recorder and I was testing it out.

I was giving an example as to why they aren't effective against tier 1 troops.....

Obviously not every defense is great against every troop. The game would be pretty boring if that were the case, but that doesn't take away from the effectiveness of well placed spring traps.
