[Screenshot] Base Designs TH8

I hesitate to post because I feel as if this design is a bit too "obvious" and boxy:

It is a development of a couple of earlier incarnations and has the following features:

Hybrid base
4-fold rotational symmetry (except for the TH)
Alternate cannon/archer

Hmm. That's it I think. Difficult to say how it holds up because it's not getting attacked much at all. I had a couple of million elixir in there for the past 2 days, hardly a bite.

However, what I have noticed is people aren't attacking with WBs! All I get is swarms, archers, barbs or gobs. Because of the placement of the single target defences, this base stands up well to that type of attack.

I did have one numptie hit me with FOUR lvl4 lightning, 180 lvl4 gobs (!). Got 300 DE and little else.

Clearly there are hidden teslas and traps but I'm not showing those in case one of you buggers decides to attack. I think you can see where they are anyway. Or perhaps that what I want you to think...

There are some really nice designs out there, hence my disappointment with this one which really only has defence placement to commend it. Obviously I am still upgrading the last of the walls. I think I might try and come up with a "weak wall" trap and have a few more hidden defences inside the main base. What do you all think?

My BK will be dead by archers anyway due to low lvl when im attacked, as soon as they have him notified, the BK is easy to pull out from the defence. Hence the arty position ;)
You are right regarding the DE storage. There are some separation thanks to the walls surrounding DE so they dont get as much as if they were standing back to back as to speak. =)

I will attack from the top left, since thats the shortest route to your gold + de which is all i need.
only 2 mortars and 1 wiz tower protecting that area lol.

lol, what happen to your initial base design ?

I was chatting with another forum member that I would copy other people's base only if my own base makes me lose 200k/200k like 4 out of 5 attacks lol.
As we have pride in our own bases to simply copy others :p

But yeah, go ahead, it should do great if your defenses and walls are high enough level.

Regarding my own base.. I'm thinking of pushing my TH inside abit.
Keep getting free shield that its getting irritating now lol.
Gonna modify it abit soon.

i went you a PM about this. Fix the junction on SW/SE where the cannons are so one set of WB can't get to to comparments and then wall off either builders huts or teslas next to teh wizard towers so you dont leave it exposed..
