I have to disagree with the TH 8 anti hog base Sphinx made. It doesn't work and will get crushed by even crappy hoggers. The CC is lureable (the only prayer for th 8), there is no double giant bomb, and the hogs WILL path to the core in the th 8 version there is no doubt.
In terms of defending against other troops, it isn't bad.
In all honesty, this is one of the best TH9 farming bases I've seen.
Just having hogs go around a ring does not make it anti-hog. Having the Wizard Towers where they are make it even easier to defeat the ring if the attacker desires to do so. No double Giant Bombs allows the attacker to be more patient with Heal spells because there is less worry that the hogs with less than full health will be killed all at once. Because of these points, this base is not anti-hog. That's not to say it is a bad base. But you shouldn't call it what it is not. As a person that has raided a lot with hogs, I would not hesitate to attack this base with hogs if the resources available were sufficient.
We all need to stop with the "no 2x giant bombs means it's not a anti-hog base" routine. That ♥♥♥♥ stopped working a while ago, especially thanks to Ringus getting so popular. Now in C3 and above, any decent hogger sees the empty space where the double bombs are and simply triggers them with a single hog before the main attack. Period, end of story.
So the whole "YOU MUST HAVE TWO DOUBLE BOMBS!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!" routine is played out, over, done, kaput.
While not being a truly 100% anti-hog base due to the ring being a bit soft, this base is good enough in terms of the ring to still allow the name to stand. Call it 75%.
I do like the masked hog ring, at first glance I would not pick it for a hog ring. But there is a circlar path where poor hoggers will go on the merry go round. Also allows all Wizard Towers in a critical defensive location.
If you get some proper hog attacks please update that defense log.

No one is a "poor hogger" for long because the DE cost of the hog force is way too high if you're losing to stupid things like obvious 2x giant bombs.
The day of the 2x giant bomb is long over for anyone in C2+, fyi. If someone is hogging you below that, hey, just use the old Ringus. No base better than that one if you don't care about very obvious 2x giant bomb spots.
For the rest of us, playing at a high level and getting raided by other high-level players, innovation against hogs is needed. Starting with at least 6-8 empty double slots in every base, of which only 2 have the actual double bombs. And NOT near the damn wizard towers, come on people, obvious.
That should be the initial point at which every wanna-be "base designer" begins if they're thinking of an anti-hog spec.
Shows how ignorant you are. Poor hoggers are everywhere. Especially in clan wars. Many gemmers hear how strong hogs are and keep attacking in hopes of getting good. Free trophies for me I suppose.
Nice job contradicting yourself. First you say the 2x giant bomb trap stopped working a while ago and now you are saying every antihog base should have multiple empty slots for double giant bombs.
