The penalty isn't the issue I'm still getting 130k-200k per raid bits it's just that it takes so damn long and idk I want something new haha

But do you mean you are "hitting a wall" as in it's getting too hard? Or that it's not interesting enough anymore?

Hard is not really the problem, more monotonous and I do need a better clan I'm the only one with lvl 5 troops... Hahaha

Ah kk then people misunderstood what you meant then. Yeah, I haven't played long enough to reach that point yet but I can understand how that would happen. Hm, try new ways to challenge yourself? Try re-designing your base? Find a better clan? :P

That being said, I still think the end stages of TH 8 do get fairly boring. Almost all upgrades done with just a pack of 500k a piece walls to look forward to. Raiding is pretty easy, with the level 5 troops and all, and with a good base being raided frequently isn't much of a threat either. The good news is, though, that once we finally do get ready for TH 9, we have a whole new set of stuff to do. I really look forward to getting xbows, level 6 troops, level 7 wizzy towers, and the AQ. Just got to bear the end stage of TH 8 first.

All worth it though the end stages of th 8 is boring but just remember all those sad weak th 9 that is so fun to raid from. We won't be those weaklings who make e jump to early.

True true haha but I'm gonna say the lack of substantial updates kinda makes it worse... Like a feature such as clan wars or mock attacks that we and our clan mates could see the results of, maybe even an inter clan hierarchy for these mock battles? These would effect all and the gameplay so as to give us something to do when we aren't raiding

I personally think they are going to add clan battles and what hierarchy system but it would be a massive massive update. If they did it I coud see it rolling out around Halloween/November update. But hey it is supercell they could be working on it and it'll just pop outta nowhere.

i hope you're right. I just don't wanna see this game go in the direction of like DE haha I like my barb king and the troops are nice every once in a while

TH7 was the bomb. 2 hours and I already hit 1.5mil gold AND 1.5mil elixir gained. Right now, I'm struggling to make even 1mil in an hour as a TH8. It sucks so bad when you don't have that awesome loot bonus you get when raiding TH9s as TH7. Not to mention you lose a lot more when you get raided by TH8s and TH9s. <_<

Game is all about grinding. You grind resources to upgrade and once you're done, you will grind trophies. The only fun part about this game is raiding another person's base, but that gets old. I am in a similar situation, my TH is lvl 9. Before they introduced the level 7 air defense, level 11, archer tower, and level 3 xbow, my base was maxed. Ever since that patch i stop upgrading. 5 million for an archer tower, 6.5M for air defense, 6M/8M for xbow, That is just ridiculous. I have quit farming and am going for trophies, currently balancing at 2300-2400 just using level 1 troops. Gonna see how far I can go. After that I dont know what I will do. Going back to farming means that i will have to drop trophies which means all my hard work will be gone in minutes.

On a different note, have you ever thought about how much Elixir it will cost to upgrade to level 10 DE barracks? just something to think about.

if you do get tired of farming, you should switch and try going for trophies, something different for a change. But it sounds like you need a break.

Just made the jump to TH9 after maxing TH8; can sort of feel the loot penalty :(

Still not as bad as some people make it seem :confused:
