Starting to hit "the wall"

While at TH7 I never really hit a wall, maybe at first but I soon got
The hang of it all, I am not hitting that point. It's partly annoying because whole the game is fun, it gets respective at around Th8. I have to save up 2,680,000 per wizard upgrade and 2.5 mil for each archer tower now. Everything else is maxed. All walls at lvl 7 , but it's just redundant and I love the game but it's disenfranchising when the best updates SC can come up with is new DE troops that no offense, I never use. How about something like clan wars that will add a fresh air of excitement and give us something to do while our upgrades last 8 days and our raidings are anything but exciting. Anyone who has hit this and gone through the other side let me know how you did it please

Welcome to the post TH7 world.

Quite amazing the difference the loot penalty makes. It hits you hard again when you go from 8->9.

I honestly feel like this is something a lot of posters really don't grasp or at least don't internalize.

I made the mistake of going to th 8 too soon. But honestly the loot hasn't been terrible my base is almost completely maxed and my 2.5 million gold archer twrs all finish up in a day or two. If you can find the right range looting 2.5million+ is quite possible, and well, quite easy.

Nothing like TH7 though.

I'm a premature TH8 but loot has been pretty good. As long as I stay around 1300 trophies, I can find 200-300k gold targets usually. Sometimes I settle for 100-150k. Saving up for upgrades shouldn't be a problem as long as you just consistently play whenever your troops are ready.

But do you mean you are "hitting a wall" as in it's getting too hard? Or that it's not interesting enough anymore?

I haven't had any problems at TH8, its the move to TH9 that I'm dreading.
So far I've maxed everything except for teslas and one AD, and now I'll be working on those and my walls, currently 70 / 225 are skull and the rest are dark purple :)

It really isn't that bad at TH8 nowadays as long as you have lvl 5 troops. By now you should have a pretty decent understanding on who and how to raid effectively :P

Good point. If it's not interesting I would recommend finding an active clan :p

Tell me about it. In fact when I did it, it was before the loot penalty. So I prioritized leveling my TH over everything, as at the time that was the ideal strategy.

I upgraded my storages and immediately jumped from 7->8. I was at TH 8 with level 2-3 troops, gray walls, and ♥♥♥♥ defenses. I was not amused by the introduction of the penalty.

I spent 4 months at TH8 crawling my way back out.

I really missed out on TH 7 too, sadly. Been a TH 8 since I was level 40 or so. :(

That being said, I still think the end stages of TH 8 do get fairly boring. Almost all upgrades done with just a pack of 500k a piece walls to look forward to. Raiding is pretty easy, with the level 5 troops and all, and with a good base being raided frequently isn't much of a threat either. The good news is, though, that once we finally do get ready for TH 9, we have a whole new set of stuff to do. I really look forward to getting xbows, level 6 troops, level 7 wizzy towers, and the AQ. Just got to bear the end stage of TH 8 first.

Same here. I went to Town Hall prematurely. Suffered for alittle but got Level 5 troops as soon my Lab cleared and kicked ___ from there.
