I was wondering if we could discuss about traps in a thread, in a similar way that Junliang made the Wall Breaker discussion thread. At first I thought everyone would find it pointless and unnecessary, but I'm wondering if you guys actually want one. Please tell me so either I or someone else less lazy can make one for our community.

Traps are very basic, however wall breakers are not. There is no need to have a discussion about something as simple as trap, however there is a need for wall breaker discussion threads especially when there are so many little details with their AI
A discussion thread about traps would have been more productive than a discussion thread about a discussion thread about trap. :rolleyes:

Traps really are the unsung heroes of the game.
You need to think from the point of view of the attacker to use them effectively - not where will the attacker just go but how can i get the most value from them....and if the attacker comes from this side what sequence of defensive measures do i want to happen...you don't want to be putting half health attackers into orbit.

Traps are easily one of my favorite parts of the game. They don't seem as sexy as some defensive buildings, but how long does it take to shoot 12 level 5 giants? A few well placed spring traps can take them out in seconds! Some of my favorite ways of using traps have been compromised with the new wall breaker AI and I have been working more on exterior trap placement. Getting troops to funnel towards traps either outside my walls or within a single enclosed compartment.

Traps are underrated an underused. I love watching replays and learning how people commonly attack the base and setting traps accordingly. I'm constantly making minor adjustment to how I place them.

I assumed there was going to be a tesla there, instead my 8 giants hit 3 spring traps on their way to the mortar :P
