Air Bombs vs Giant Bombs Cost

Both are designed against mass units. Air Bombs have wider blast radius, it seeks and you can make 4 of them at th8. So why the cost difference?

It is AIR, a lot less air units.

true, but im trying to incorporate minions into my arsenal now and it's not very encouraging when my 20 strong bats just go pop by a 4k balloon.

The bombs usually go to my healers, which easily survive it, but its annoying when one bomb kills 20 at the same time....

Try to use either just a few minions or a stronger air unit to lure the bombs out first?

The price of the bombs are low for the sake of balance, is my guess. Minions are cheap. Bombs are cheap. Case solved.

That would work if their bombs are a bit exposed. However it can be problematic if they are a bit centralised as your baits will get killed before it does the job.

Barbs are cheap, archers are cheap and gobs are cheap, and they only occupy 1 slot. 6-10 DE is not cheap as they don't come along that often.

Air bombs came out before the dark elix update. The price for them was set before minions existed. The red bombs are virtually useless against healers/dragons/balloons which is why the price was low. There is now a decent argument for valuing these more as the minion is probably the most common dark elix troop ; however, supercell is unlikely to increase the price of them in my opinion.

this is a good answer - don't just dump them all in and think they will be fine. it's pretty obvious where people put them anyway.

Depends to who. Darn cheap to me. 100 lvl 5 minions is mere 1000 DE. That's a good deal.

again it works well if the bombs were not placed centrally thus avoiding getting shot first by other towers.
