Barbarian King Tactics?

I know that barbarian Kings aren`t very good at defending and mass archers can take them out easily. They are extremely good for offense however, so I think I`m gonna be using them for offense much more. But does that mean I should make the Barbarian King in "Sleep" mode, of keep it ready to defend?
Also, what happens when barbarian kings hit spring traps? Pekka style? Or do they lose all their health?

Honestly its up to you, I'm assuming you are townhall 7?

Spring traps dont affect Barb King, but he affects them, meaning he will set them off but they don't bother him at all.

If you attack a lot then I would sleep my Bk since he is Level 1 but keep him awake when you are sleeping, make sense? But again, it's up to you!
