After seeing I could now get TEM's from mystery nets I decided to buy one. I wasn't disappointed. In my first ever mystery net I got 3 fish and a mallet but in this one I got 3 fish, a syrup, a paint bucket AND a map piece. I think that's more worth the 5 diamonds. Anyone else got a mystery net and what did you get in it?
I have one that's ready to open but am saving it until my daughter arrives in an hour. Now I'm REALLY excited to see what might be in it - yours was fabulous!

I did too Jess. I never buy them anymore. I used to before the confirmation button to avoid accumulating any to lose with my clumsy fingers. Hope it is as good as othersQuote:

For the longest time I got only four items per net, usually three of them fish. Dunno if it's fisherman's luck or a change in the game, but I'm getting more items per net lately.
Mine had 3 fish, an axe, a dynamite and a syrup. No TEMs, but still it wasn't bad.
The town folk on the other hand gave me three saws today. <sigh>
Keep trying the TEM's are in there somewhere. I put another in this morning, hopefully I'll get as lucky as I did last time.Quote:

Jess, which spot did you place yours in? My ok/so-so net was in the newest spot, lower right side. The spot where one can catch the catfish with a red lure during fishing events.Quote:

My net in shipwreck hole gave two fish, some food item I forgot, a saw and the lily wheelbarrow. NH Leader got two fish, tape and an axe. We will try it again sometime.

I got my second net (area 2) and unfortunately did not take a picture or write it down:p:confused:...I got 3 fish, green voucher, 1 diamond and there was one more thing but I can't remember what it was, I do know it was not building material. I put down another net in the swampy area, now just have to wait and see what it brings;).

Have they stopped the empty spots? I've had about 15 mystery nets in total (before this update) and 5 of them had empty spots in it and duds just fish and one mallet etc so might start them up again because of the TEMs but wont if there is empty spaces in the net which IMO I just felt ripped off, even if it was non premium items I felt all spots in the net should have been filled. Is it just me or do others ever had obvious empty spots?
Yes, I had an empty spot this morning as noted above. 3 fish, one syrup and one map. I was delighted with the syrup and map, but yes, I do feel that there should be no empty spots. Not for 5 diamonds. Still, the yield was better than many of my past mystery nets.Quote:

i have been trying to get a pearl since it was introduced. Stop trying a couple of months ago to save up diamonds. I tried again bc of all the recent good results with the mystery nets. Made two nets last week and this is the result: 1 st net: 3 fish and 1 bolt; 2nd net: 3 fish and 1 axe. Guess my unlucky streak continues...
I am happy to say I've dropped two mystery nets in the last week and they both had wonderful hauls. I dropped them both right next to the waterfall which will be my location of choice from now on.
First net:
2 fish
1 paint bucket
1 tar bucket
1 dynamite
1 map
Second net:
2 fish
1 dynamite
1 gold lure
1 farm decoration (the cute wheelbarrow)
1 TEM, but I don't remember which.
DEFINITELY worth the 5 diamonds both times!
I'm wondering if there is a bug. Some people get 6 items, I got 5 the first time I tried a new net, but two nets I threw in last week looked like they were missing items.
I've started a thread in the bugs forum. Is it normal to sometimes only get four items since the new update nets were introduced? Mine really look like a mistake. Aforementioned empty spots!

Unfortunately it's still happening. My net before the last two only had four items in it (and two were fish) but since I still had a couple of nets in the tackle box I took a chance on the waterfall location which paid off nicely. I will NEVER throw nets in the deepest parts again because those were the spots that shortchanged me. I was hoping that along with the better "catches" they implemented in the last update that they would have also guaranteed six items per net, even if they were mostly fish, but apparently not. Try the waterfall. I had wonderful luck there.Quote:

It's the way it's supposed to be. You aren't guaranteed to get six items. You might get as few as four. (I don't think I've ever gotten less than four.)

Ah. Thank you. That is a disappointment. Well, I wish there weren't those empty spots, then. I agree with another poster earlier in this thread, the empty spots make me feel a little shortchanged, just a psychological thing maybe but... I doubt I'll be tempted again.
My daughter picked up a mystery net in the waterfall area last night because I'd had such great luck with it. Her "haul" was...
three fish and a green lure. In essence, she spent 5 diamonds on a green lure (since you already get three fish in regular nets). She won't be dropping any more for a while. That might be the very worst one I've ever seen.
I just picked up one and received one green lure, one apple jam, one fish and something else I can't remember. First time I have gotten 4 items as well, always got 6 as best as I can remember....I won't be using a mystery net for the next few months at least, better I save my diamonds.Quote:

Out of the 4 mystery nets i have used since the update, only 1 was what I would call a dud. 3 fish and a chunk of silver ore. :confused: Really 5 diamonds for that?!?
But it's all good and the others have more than made up for that, and I'm still making and using them.
I have two in the tackle box but have no idea yet where to drop them. There are lots of theories out there that claim some areas are better than others but I don't think so. Not after the waterfall example. Some people swear by the area over the sunken ship, but that's where I've twice received 4-piece duds. I'll try different areas next just for the thrill of it.
I had both ends of the spectrum yesterday:
Mystery Net #1 had 2 fish, a hammer, and plank, and a tar bucket!
Mystery Net #2 had 2 fish, and 1 gold ore. -_-
I tried Shealie's fav waterfall spot and today I received 3 fish, duct tape, apple jam and a gold lure, so not a bad catch! :)
AFter reading this thread I decided to open my net maker and give it a shot.
mystery net number 1 at waterfall yielded 3 fish, 1 gold lure, 2 diamonds
Net 2 at rapids? near lobster pot had 2 huchen , 1 salmon, 1 diamond, 1 land deed

OK, OK, I have been tempted again after saying I wouldn't be. I blame Shealie's optimism (and a windfall of diamonds from the new town chests). Had to try the waterfall, and it came good! 6 items.
2 fish, a land deed, a bracelet, dynamite, and a diamond ring. Regardless of whether that is value for money or not, I wish the nets would always yield 6 items. It is a fun gamble that way.
Well tried again and that will be the last time, tried the sunken ship area and got 2 fish, 1 marker stake, 1 TNT and a green voucher, so only 3 items ( not including fish). :(
I have so many bridge/ponds decorations as I have so,many green vouchers, and have upgraded all land area including town a while ago.
Good of luck to those who try but I'm just not lucky with nets.
Back to dud 4 items today again , sigh! -- at the waterfall. Easy come easy go. :)
