New mystery nets

I don't often make the mystery nets but this thread made me curious, so I tried. Today i hauled in 1 land deed, 1 marker stake, 1 green lure, 1 saw, 1 plank, 1 sockeye salmon. Loved getting the deed, as I needed it to open a new area in town. The net was placed i the #1 spot.

Used 3 mystery nets during the last days. Not one of them was worth it. No town items, nothing spectacular. Today I got 1 deed and 3 fishes.

i have been trying to get a pearl since it was introduced. Stop trying a couple of months ago to save up diamonds. I tried again bc of all the recent good results with the mystery nets. Made two nets last week and this is the result: 1 st net: 3 fish and 1 bolt; 2nd net: 3 fish and 1 axe. Guess my unlucky streak continues...

I am happy to say I've dropped two mystery nets in the last week and they both had wonderful hauls. I dropped them both right next to the waterfall which will be my location of choice from now on.

First net:

2 fish
1 paint bucket
1 tar bucket
1 dynamite
1 map

Second net:

2 fish
1 dynamite
1 gold lure
1 farm decoration (the cute wheelbarrow)
1 TEM, but I don't remember which.

DEFINITELY worth the 5 diamonds both times!

I'm wondering if there is a bug. Some people get 6 items, I got 5 the first time I tried a new net, but two nets I threw in last week looked like they were missing items.

I've started a thread in the bugs forum. Is it normal to sometimes only get four items since the new update nets were introduced? Mine really look like a mistake. Aforementioned empty spots!

Unfortunately it's still happening. My net before the last two only had four items in it (and two were fish) but since I still had a couple of nets in the tackle box I took a chance on the waterfall location which paid off nicely. I will NEVER throw nets in the deepest parts again because those were the spots that shortchanged me. I was hoping that along with the better "catches" they implemented in the last update that they would have also guaranteed six items per net, even if they were mostly fish, but apparently not. Try the waterfall. I had wonderful luck there.

Thanks for the tip. I don't feel very tempted to risk another net at the moment because I don't know of there is a bug or if it is just the way it is supposed to be. But if I ever am tempted again I will try the waterfall! :)

It's the way it's supposed to be. You aren't guaranteed to get six items. You might get as few as four. (I don't think I've ever gotten less than four.)

Ah. Thank you. That is a disappointment. Well, I wish there weren't those empty spots, then. I agree with another poster earlier in this thread, the empty spots make me feel a little shortchanged, just a psychological thing maybe but... I doubt I'll be tempted again.

My daughter picked up a mystery net in the waterfall area last night because I'd had such great luck with it. Her "haul" was...

three fish and a green lure. In essence, she spent 5 diamonds on a green lure (since you already get three fish in regular nets). She won't be dropping any more for a while. That might be the very worst one I've ever seen.
