What's the best farming strategy for th8?

So I am about to get th8 and would like to know the following:

For farming:

What's the best th8 farming base?
What's the best trophy range for farming?
Also what's the best strategy to use for farming as a th8?

My recent troubles have been farming for ELIXIR because obviously, it costs elixir to TRAIN your troops/spells..

For the base, there are a lot of options.

EDIT: My elixir storages are, most of the time, full. If not, half-full.
