To upgrade, or not to upgrade?

DO WALLS!:D Thats the best piece of advice i can give you.. while doing them max everything else also.. :)

If it was me, I would completely max my base first before upgrading the Town Hall (including my walls) because then you will have a good defensive base. I've been pushing up my Town Hall and now I am stuck in TH7 for the past month.. :P I'm hoping to enter TH8 by next month?

Thanks for all the replies! I started the upgrade and will finish my archer towers and walls before it completes by boosting barracks. 100 walls in 10 days should be a fun challenge haha

Trust me, Get it done now, I had a th8 attack my farming base with 300k possible loot and a th9 attacked me and I had the exact same about of loot since the th8 attacked me and the th9 possible loot was only 130k. So max at th8.

If you were a th8 the percentage of loot available to the th8 would be 100% and a th9 would see 90% so i think your numbers are a bit off. The issue with going to th9 is the difference you see in th7s since they go from 90% of what's available to 50%.

As for loot...

As TH8:
- you loot TH7, you get 250K,
- you loot TH8, you get 300K, but you can just loot the weak TH8...
- you loot TH9, you get 350K, you have no hope... they have 4 storages and xbows.


As TH9
- you loot TH7, you get 150K, no spell required... simple LV.6 BARCH will destroy all TH7 easily
- you loot TH8, you get 270K, just 1-2 spell required to take all the loot even the maxed one
- you loot TH9, you get 350K, you can expect at leat half

As for defend

As TH8, you get attacked by TH9 with Lv.6 troops and both BK + AQ, you will loose all 270K for them while you have more than 2 million in hand

As TH9, you get attacked by TH9 or TH10 same troops, you will no more 3 starred...

well, that's my personal experience... Loot is better on TH9 if you do storage loot, and defend is way better... there is no point to stay on TH8. Most on my clan go TH9 early and no single one regret it. Those who regret going to TH9 is people that is very weak, cant farm anything... by your screenshot, you're not them. You'll do more than good on TH9.

I myself is debating whether to upgrade to TH8 without maxing out my walls, BK and Hogs to lvl2. I;ve heard many strong arguments that if you max out your army stuff you should be fine to move on. I think you should be fine, but its your choice.
