Heh, I think you're missing something, man
Heh, I'm an electrical engineer and I can say that not every problem has a clear solution and every one often involves tradeoffs. I'm sure if you're in the electronics industry, you've heard the saying that "you can have things fast, good, or cheap, but you can only pick two". There are unintended consequences for all actions taken and I'm sure they are balancing the effects of false positives with the effects of people ghosting.
Since this is clearly a negative circumstance, I'm sure they've looked into it. My guess is that it's probably a complicated or resource intensive problem. It's possible that they could poll every action and every connection at all times for every account but it would likely be expensive and has the potential to slow down the game, resulting in poor quality of service. I'm sure they're balancing the effectiveness of the solution with the cost of implementing the solution and are probably trying to find the best way to proceed forward.
Come on, man, if someone came to you and asked you to make them some electronics item that does a million different things for 15 cents and they want it in two hours, you'd have to tell them there is no solution. Yes, it's potentially possible that you give them something for 15 cents in two hours but it's not going to do everything or you can hire a massive team that can pull it off in two hours but it's not going to cost 15 cents. There are tradeoffs for almost every solution.
You just have to take all the information in and make the decision based on what info you have. I think you're making judgements on a solution without knowing all the information.
