The Island: A TH9 Farming Base
The objective
I wanted a farming base I could use from Gold up to Crystal. It had to defend against farming armies like Barchers or BAM, but also against the widely used Hog army in Crystal. The CC had to be difficult to lure and the storages hard to reach and they had to be spread out.

Features
- Centralized Clan Castle makes it difficult to lure the CC troops by a single hog
- Centralized Teslas for maximum DE protection
- Centralized Mortars to crush barcher armies
- Two centralized Air Defenses for protection against air attacks
- An air bomb near all storages makes it hard for minions to get to them
- Two times double giant bombs combined with bombs to take out even level 5 hogs
- The outer ring is completely covered by the x-bows when set to ground mode
- Almost perfectly symmetrical
The Disadvantage and the Name
The base only has 4 compartments: The Core, The Middle Ring and the two outer rings. These design choices make for an unusual anti-hog base and also explain the name. The Core is basically an island surrounded by defensive buildings and buildings with high hit points. At the same time the core, or the island, contains many strong defenses that hopefully keep the enemies away from the core and the middle ring.
This is also its biggest disadvantage, once an army gets in the second ring, they can move around freely. The defenses in the core, however, combined with the buildings with high hitpoints, should kill the armies fast enough.
