TH4 Base Critique/General Help

This is my current base:

Is my base design effective? I had the mortar and the clan castle switched before but I heard it's best to keep your CC in the center of the base.

Can you guys give me some tips on attacking at TH4? I don't see anything for TH4 on this forum it's mainly TH6 and up.

because of the time it takes to stay at th4, there is not much to do too on them, lack of walls.. i do understand it's painfull but you won't stay at that th lvl for long enough to bother having a strong pushing base, better keep the ressource, then again, you'll gain way more than you lose at that lvl since raid are easy.

for my part, i'll stick with mortar in the middle (where your cc is) anyway, your cc will be able to get trigger easily even if in the middle, so you could just put it anywhere in the base and it will be all good.

Thank you, I am trying to not rush to TH5 so going to upgrade everything before I move to it.

i think that until th6-7 it's not a burden to rush, just make sure splash dmg, storage and mine are max as your farming troops (at least barb, archer, gobs, wb) lol at your lvl i think it's all research, whatever, as long as your research center is done, if your splash is done as well (and maybe your air defense because it will become important) you can go on...

just make sure at least at th7 you max everything. that will help you. But i know, there is different mind set on forum about maxing and not... but at lower, it's not that important...

just for myself, i like having everything done... so the sooner you max everything (at each th), the less time you spend at next th lvl to max again...

Sounds good. I'll start upgrading them. Do you think it would be wise to go for 1250 trophies @ TH4 or wait?

Great against hog riders!.. But I would honestly take a look at clash of clans builder for base designs if someone were to attack from the south side with giants they would have access to all of your defenses.

I would wait until TH5. I did it at TH6.

I don't have enough walls to compartmentalize every building. How would you recommend that I reinforce the southern side?

I think it would be more effective at TH5, b/c of another army camp. I just want 450 more gems :D I'll wait though

To me TH1 to 6 are learning THs. You can't really do anything wrong, but you also can't really compete. Just enjoy and work your way up to TH7. Don't worry about getting raided or anything, because you just don't have the defense yet to defend properly. You also don't have the troops to really get a lot of trophies.

i would definitely take the time to snipe until 1250 for gems and get that builder

after that, just drop back to bronze or stay around 1000 for cheap collectors base that could fill your storage one shot
