Masters League at Town Hall 8

Hi guys

I'm currently at Town Hall 8, not maxed, but about 60% through TH 8. I'm leading my clan, and recently did a push to crystal in order to recruit. Got a full clan, lots of new players, all is good.

I started using Balloonion to raid and I'm having the most fun playing I have ever had in Clash, and currently sitting in Crystal 2 with 2229 trophies and I'm having so much fun with this push, so I'm going to see how far I can go and I want that goal to be Masters, but I don't want to TH Snipe because it's boring.

Here's my question: Am I going to be able to make it to masters using Balloonion? I'm currently having no issues keeping up my resources for raiding or 2-3 starring premie TH 9s and people with Air Defenses upgrading, but is there going to come a point where it just won't work or do you think this is a feasible goal? Please don't answer if you don't have personal experience or tell me to snipe. I'm not going to snipe.

Loons are lvl 5 and minions are lvl 3, heal spell is 3 (not using rage). King lvl 6.

ALLSTAR is a very viable option, its gotten people to masters and beyond

I got to Masters a few weeks ago with Loonion, only difference is that my Loons are 6 and Minions are 5. It might be a little harder but you should do it if you have enough patience to find the right bases. It gets much more competitive above 2500 cups.

Thanks for the response. I figured at some point it will get more competitive. Being TH 8 I'm just sticking my TH outside and praying for a snipe and riding shields if I won't be playing for a long time.

I don't think it's impossible yet. I'm not going to BARCH or BAM to Masters, I'm doing this for the fun raiding (though the gems are nice too, and awesome loot bonus).

I'm probably going to try it no matter what people say, but I'd like to know what people think. I'm hoping to find someone who has gotten to Masters at TH 8 without using barch or bam or sniping.

I think you're gonna have a hard time with balloons. I have reached masters league as a town hall 8. Did some random troop composition like barchers, dragon raids, and hog rider raids. Just look for dead bases. And that happened without my BK cause it was upgrading to level 10. LOL :p Good luck!

OP...good luck getting to Masters, I am rooting for you as long as you don't step on me on the way up...lol.

i think hogs would end up taking you farther that loonian if you have good hogs. if not than stick with loonian till it stops working for you. then i would try mass drag (OP) and maybe do some barching for 50%

I'm definitely not doing BARCH or BAM, and probably not hogs because mine are level 1.

Mass Drags may be an option later if Balloonion starts to fail me. Thanks for the support. :) I'll post a new thread if I ever make it.

Use your ballons when they have upgrading AD or when its low level.

Attachment 44654Attachment 44656 I dont think you can do it to master using Loonions only. you need TH sniping in order to go to MASTER league just like me :) i sniped TH and sometimes i used hogriders with 3 heal spells rather than using loonions. it can only take you to 2500 trophies but hogrider and th sniping is the best way in 2500-2600. btw it only took 2days for me. TRUST ME USE TH SNIPING and play often lol.

I know they nerf hog so use 4 more hog and 4 less wizard and 4 less barbs.

Good luck either way man, I am close to maxing th8 defenses, still need to work on de upgrades tho but I would like to

try as well before I go to TH9. I like bloonion as well so if it works for you let us know.

i'll may try this too... my minions are lvl4... if you can, defenitely get them, i have them lvl4 plus heal/rage lvl 4 too

it's a big plus, i hope i find the right base with this strat
