Im sorry to tell you this but your idea simply is way to OP. I have a maxed townhall 10 who is in champions league and if you add this spell raidimg up there would litterally be so hard one star would be a jump out off your chair victory. Supercell said they wouldnt add ideas like this for that very reason. The only way this could be added is if it was forced to be used on the outside of a base lol.

It hasnt been in a sence been turned down, it just has been suggested for like 2 years and never brought in. Like someone said it would be 'op'. I dont think so much, i think it would be more annoying as spells take so long to build.
also the idea in other threads have alot of negative feedback, the most common name for this idea is lightning rod. I love the name obelisk, clever.
I think this is the best version of this type of idea suggested so far.
I think it should be a 1x1 building size, and there can only be one per base. Agree that the range may need to be tweaked smaller.
How about having 4 levels of the Obelisk, and the lvl determines the lvl of spell it can absorb. So a lvl 1 obelisk can only absorb lightning, a lvl 2 can absorb lit and heal, ect.
Limiting it to 4 lvls max would naturally stop it from effecting the lvl 5 freeze spell.
Also, there should be a graphic on the map showing it's range so the attacker has an easier time to plan accordingly.
Just to check I have this right (and mixing idea above me and a few others)
Obelisk:2X2 black tower
4 levels, each level corresponds to the spell (1 is lightening)
Obelisk will reduce power of spell cast over it, as obelisk upgrades the reducing power increases. Lightening spell, rage spell and healig spell can have reduced affect (restores less health than normal and decreases the damage increase) and jump spell is shortened in time.
Not fussed about lower lvl. At a max obelisk lightening, rage and heal should damage/increase stats/restore health half of what they normally do and jump is reduced to half the normal time

how can I heal hogs/giants in battle all the players will put it next to them wizard towers so they could wipe them off.
Maybe it will just make it less effective? you know something like 30%?
idk about this because if you got another Defense you need more walls and more walls = TH11
I think it has a possibility of happening but I think it would need something else to go with it to counter it. Other than that I think it's a good idea
I don't think its OP as long as the range is 5 tiles with no upgrade and it doesnt stop all spells. 5 tiles is a pretty small area
