Very annoying having to correct mistakes too, that you notice after several words deep in the text.
I did some testing last night. It does the same thing for Swype. And although it recognizes spaces from SwiftKey, it disables the flow feature to allow gesture typing.
Why does Clash of Clans break the functionality of every Android keyboard in some way?
Add me to the list of people suffering with this issue. It is very frustrating. I can even live with not having the suggested words, but the lack of auto-space makes things very slow. I am using a Nexus 5 and have the issue with both the stock keyboard as well as with Swype. Neither of those keyboards suffers from this bug when using other apps, so it appears to be specific to Clash.
Thanks!
Bump. Any update on this issue? Any chance we can get the app to cooperate better with Android keyboards?
It appears that the text entry field for CoC is being interpreted by the keyboard as a password field, which is why we get no typing correction suggestions or auto spacing. This seems hopefully like a tag that just needs to be added or removed from that particular text every field? Fingers crossed?
The fact that Swype doesn't work with this game, is the WORST thing about this game IMHO. I have to manually insert spaces, I can't move the cursor to correct what's written, and there is no auto suggest, or word selection dialog. I believe OP is correct that they programmed the game to have it function as a password box, for the text entry field, which makes NO sense. This is the only game, and the only app even, that I've ever seen this happen in.
PLEASE we need a fix for this!
I found two solutions to most of the issues with the keyboard!
1.) If you have a keyboard with arrow keys, you CAN move the cursor - it's just invisible! The blinking cursor you see is fake, and doesn't indicate where the invisible cursor is. Swiftkey has arrow keys AFAIK, and so does Swype, in it's Editor mode (swype from the Swype key to the number key next to it, to access editor mode, one of my favorite Swype features). Along the same lines, the other gestures in Swype, like select all, cut, copy, and paste all worked (swype from Swype key to: a,x,c,v - same as CTRL key functions in Windows).
2.) If you're rooted, and have Xposed Framework installed, you can get the Xposed Module "Always Correct"- which is this module here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.e...ocorrectalways
This allows the text prediction to show up! This allows you to choose other words when Swyping, or correct mistake, or use predictions! It ALSO Allows auto-spacing after a swyped word! No more having to hit space between words!
If you're rooted but don't have Xposed installed yet, you can get the Framework (Installer) from here:
