Clan War attack strategy for town hall 8 and below
A lot players in my clan who are either newly town hall 8 or below are having a hard time getting 3 stars on bases above th 7. We are able to 3 star town hall 7s with no problem using all dragon strategy.
What strategy would you recommend against town hall 8s with well developed Air defense where an all dragon strat is not ideal?
Most have level 4 troops. Some have lvl 5.

Hogs are a good one, 28 is a bit excessive. I have 200 space and a level 4 clan castle, so 25 spaces. my troops are normally consisting of
2 healing spells for hogs and a lightning spell. mine are all level 5 but lightning spell can be tra
20 level 1 hogs(on their way to level 2) 100 spaces
1-2 level 3 dragons 20 spaces to 40 spaces
6 wizards 24 spaces
2 giants(to get cc troops out of cc) 10 spaces
in clan castle I usually get a level 2 drag and a level 2 wizard and archer. I'm the only leveled TH 8 n my clan, my dad just barely got to TH 8 so his troops are still at TH 7 level.
and the rest is usually a random number of barbs and archer to fill. 46 spaces to do what you want. or 26 if you have two dragons.
Also depends on the TH 8's base, I have three starred really good ones. and also have gotten unlucky and one starred really bad ones. but you send the giants in same time same place otherwise they'll both get shot down. once cc troops are out you obviously lure them out to the edge and kill them. if you have lightning spell its good but if not archers should do. Send the hogs in a way where they will avoid two by two spaces(big bombs) they will wipe out hogs.
but heal them when they are facing many defenses at one time. I use two heal spells and send the hogs in two different direction to enclose the base a little. then clean up crew would be drag and archers and stuff and hopefully you have a barb king. try to clean up with out drag. you can send the drag in good enough sometime so it will automatically attack the town hall. that is also why two may be a good idea, if defenses are gone around the outsides then the barb king and wizards will be good enough for a 50% one star at least. The drags will a lot of the time head straight for the town hall if placed well and if outer structures are fairly cleared.
Another thing is I'm a highly leveled TH 8, so my troops are practically maxed. everything elixir wise is maxed except pekkas and my dark elixir troops aren't there either, hogs going to level two as stated earlier.
