PilageDaVillage War Strategy

We don't go to war very often,.. we are mainly a farming clan... we go to war once every two weeks. But we do have a war strategy that is working for us. It took us a few wars to fine toon it,.. and we have been removing all the non participants from our clan... thats a major factor.

We first take a look at how hard the opponent is,.. then the top ranked member in the war map takes a look at how low he can go in the attack to get a 3 star,.. it varied between 5-7... and thats our lucky number. we then let everyone know what that number is,.. and everyone has the assigned first target,.. were they stand to get a 2 or 3 star... and its always lower then the games recommend target

We have people all over the world in our clan,.. not everyone is online at the same time.. so having an assigned target,.. works great... it helps from having players going to low and taking away from other lower players attacks... or having players only going for resorces.

We give our clan about 12hr for them to make there first attack,.. then the second attack is cleanup time. Taking care of any non participants attacks is first on the list... then any villages below your first attack that only has 1 star is next,.... and last going for a village that has a 2 star to convert to a 3.

Sounds like your clan chat has to be pretty active to coordinate each person having their own assigned target that is not the games recommended target? Or how do you assign? Is that not tough with all the different time zones?

I do like what you said about having your number one looking at which base he can three star and then going down from there on the first attack and then cleaning up with second attack . It irritates me when someone goes after an extremely hard base their first attack just to fail or get one star only when they can three star a much easier base.

Lets say the top member ranked in the war map is dropping down to attack #6 on the enemy war map.
our drop number would then be 5... we then send out a message to the clan to add +5 to there war map ranking and thats who they will attack.

example... if im ranked 25 in war map... 25+5=30... i would be attacking #30

that puts our last 5 people in our map without a target... so we allow 1hr for them to snipe the top players or try and get a 3 star from the low players

We have been developing this system since the wars have rolled out. I just didn't know if others were doing the same thing.

Is there anyone else that can share there war strategy?

I'm getting a lot of views but not much feedback... i can take good or bad feedback... i just want to improve our strategy... or integrate other strategies with ours

I think the strategy is interesting but most of the time the recommended target for me is somewhere between 10-20

bases lower than where I am ranked. Currently ranked #7 and most of my recommended targets have been in the 15-25

range.

I'm not saying that I couldn't 3 star the current #12 based on a drop -5 scale we are facing in this war but I'm more

comfortable with 15-20.

Can you post some war statistics so we can see the efficiency of your strategy?

Our clan is fairly active on war days, but we always seem to have a couple inactives. That being the case, we let everyone pick their own target first come-first serve, with the understanding you are going for someone you are fairly confident you can two star, maybe even 3. Many of us at top and middle reserve some attacks to clean up 3 stars that were botched earlier. The guys at the very top sometimes end up attacking about 5 spots down, but sometimes are even attempting the top bases.
It isn't perfect, but most wars I see all 2-3 stars on the bottom 2/3 of the map, and the war is decided by what happened at the top.
We are using heavy attacks by the way - lots of Loonian with Rage by our th9s, lots of mass dragon with donated lvl 6 balloons at lower levels.
It would be easier to organize if we knew everyone was going to be active, but we are willing to live with occasional inactivity.

The trick in attacking some one is to make the troops together attacking one thing to break it quickly

WOW... I normally don't have to drop that much... your clan must be stronger then ours. We have some low level players in ours, so we are teamed us with other clans like ours. this would not work for you guys,.. dropping to low would affect your overall score. as far as statistics... i can share them with you... but i don't have anything to compare them with... i have never compared them with any other clan before.

This last war it was a 35 vs 35 we had 7 inactive... so really only 28 used there attacks.... and 3 players only attacked once

11 - 3 star
16 - 2 star
2 - 1 star
total stars = 67

1.26 new stars per attack
81.6% average destruction
2m 5s average attack duration

attacks used 53
attacks won 41
attacks lost 12
attacks remaining 17

Let me know how that compares with other clans... i don't even know is this is good, bad or average

Here is the war log from the past couple wars. Our clan is mostly th7 and th8's with a couple 9's and 1 th10. These stats are from a 40v40 (left) and a 35v35 (right) we won one and lost the other.

Yeah... im pushing our clan to grow right now... using the war as an excuse... but maybe like 25% of our clan is th 5&6... another 25% are th 9&10...the rest are 7&8

We have had a lot of trouble trying to recrute decent players... there are a lot of hoppers going around... we do our best with the players we have in war... this strategy seams to work for us at this moment... maybe it needs to change some once we grow. Right now I'm pushing everyone to go up on there clan castles... so we can have some extra troops on def in war time

it seams more like attacking advise,.. but yes,.. i agree,.. i like to attack from one side... sometimes two at the most,.. that are adjacent to each other. you just have to watch out for the wiz towers n mortars... i usually distract them with giants while my hogs take them out from the side im attacking. then the cleanup crew will follow behind

Assigning people target one per target is not a good idea as there are some people who finish their attack first and want to attack again but can't due to other people having a target. Some people don't attack at all, making it so that even if those that can 3star it in the second attack, will have to wait. Another problem is you don't want to waste any attack for the waiting for "second clean up" attack part as those that may have good potential second attack, may not log in,in time for war to pick off any loose 1-star/2star.

Interesting stuff and may work for clans with very variable th and experience levels. We are a top 30 clan and get drawn against some pretty tough oppo and we'd struggle to three star anyone consistently.

our strategy is to hit bases plus or minus 5 from our rank for our first hit but to call out who we are going to hit in case someone is making special troops for a target.

Our approach is similar to what you do; we are 7-1 and average 90%+ destruction. Please don't publicize your methods!

Your clan has to be very active if you wanna win wars

sounds pretty good, but can you change "toon" to TUNE?
