Clan Related: Voting Required for Clan War

One issue I have been having in my clan is that my fellow Co-leaders keep starting war after war without regard for the other members. I propose that a voting system be designed, so that all members have a say on whether war is declared or not.

In the United States, the president cannot just declare war, because Congress holds that power. If I am not mistaken, they follow the two-thirds rule when voting to declare war. I suggest that, if this idea is considered, the voting system be done in a similar manner. Leaders and Co-leaders can initiate a clan war search, but the war will not be officially declared unless a majority of the clan votes yes on it.



Another problem I have had in my clan is that someone keeps messing with the description, writing immature comments on it. My second idea is that it shows who edits the clan information to the Leader, so that those kind of issues can be corrected. I am not entirely sure how this should be presented, but I think that the date, time, change, and username of who changed it, should be shown.

First of all, compared the united states constitutional and congressional laws in terms of declaring war to a video game owned by a foreign company is laughable.

Secondly, the POTUS can and has gone to war without congressional approval or a declaration of war. Desert shield is a clear sample of this by President Bush senior, Battle of Mogadishu by President Clinton, Afganistan and Iraq by Presedent Bush jr, and several small locations and drone actions in Yemen and other countries by President Obama. This was a huge issue resulting from the Vietnam war and debate over the gulf of Tonkin resolution.

In fact, the last time the US has actually officially declared war was in World War 2, 1942.

Anyways, back to the video game, clan leadership is not a democracy and is a dictatorship, with the leader being the big cahuana. When the clan leader or king says go to war, you go to war. Clash of clans is not clash of democratic states.

They allowed for coleaders and elders to pertain to leadership roles, but the leader is the ultimate decider. If your clan chooses to take a vote manually, that's up to you but the clan itself is ruled by the leader. If you don't like it, leave the clan.

And if you can't trust your coleaders to not be childish on clan description, remove them as coleaders. ​PROBLEM SOLVED.

Your the leader.. If your co leaders are being childish and messing up everything get your behind up and do something about it as a leader

Sometimes you feel you can trust em but you really cnat. And you cant tell which 1 it is

I'm actually not the leader of this clan; therefore, I cannot do anything about it. I keep urging the leader to remove all co-leaders until the culprit confesses, but he just will not. That is why I thought being able to know who changed it would be useful to the leaders. It tells everyone who accepts clan members, so I did not see why it could not tell people who changed the clan information.

Where did you get a comparison out of an illustration? I used a real-world example to help explain what I was suggesting. Nothing more. Nothing less. Also, I never said they could not go to 'war,' I said they could not declare it. There is a huge difference.

Now to the issue at hand. I do see the point of your criticism, even though it could have been worded more properly. Personally, I did not think of the clan as a dictatorship, since, besides the additional abilities, there is little difference between a member and a higher rank. In my opinion, it is not the just the leader's clan, but also everyone else's, so they should have a say in things. Clearly, you do not think the same. To each their own, I suppose.

You did use it as an analogy. Otherwise, what was the purpose of mentioning the real world scenario? And your exact use of the phrase "the voting system be done in a similar manner" suggest you are directly making the comparison.

What's the point of the analogy if you knew that a declaration of war is pointless and we go to war anyways, without voting or congressional approval? If we're going to get technical with it, that's how the current Clash of Clan system is now, with a dictatorial power declaring war whenever they see fit.

Each clan can develop their own social structure as they see fit. You are given 4 ranks (essentially) it is up to the leader and dictator whether he uses them or not. It wouldn't be unheard of having a clan with 1 leader and 49 members - no elders or co-leaders. If the Leader decides he sees fit to delegate responsibility to a chosen view, feel free.

But it is the leaders clan. He made it. Everyone else is just a guest until it's determined you are no longer welcomed.

Our clan voluntarily uses input from fellow members. I never said I disagree with the act of shared responsibilities and discussion of what's best for the clan, merely that the core system of Clan leadership in THIS game is one of dictatorship. You, as 50 individuals within this system, can determine what you can or won't do with or without fellow clan members voiced consent. That's the beauty of this game.

You are free to leave the clan if they are not running it the way you believe they should be. No one has a gun to your head to remain.

As a leader, I baically do constant war, I have 6 wars then 2 days rest, so that makes up a season of warring, if people have a problem with this schedule deal with it, you should have schedules in your clan so members know when wars are going to start

Congress hasn't declared war since WWII.

I'm also not sure how this applies at all to CoC. It's really quite a terrible analogy. However, if you'd like to institute a vote for your clan, feel free to do so. This really doesn't require any work on the part of SC.
