For me it's learning how you use the spells to maximum effort. Mainly as a big explosion around the core and key defences. Which when done right maintains high health of your troops to carry on through the remainder of the base.
I actually got my first 3 star with GoWiPe on a maxed base yesterday using spell placement similar to KSAThug's 3 stars a few pages back.
My other CW raid was Sneaky Hog attempt on a maxed base which sadly ran out of time after all defences down. Getting better though!
