Problem with Air defence

Im th6 and maxing my defenses and walls before th7. The last thing i have to upgrade was the air defence and about 20 gold walls. Since th6 can only have 1 air defence, i keep on losing balloons and minion raids. Not just that, my archer tower is doing nothing to the balloons because of the healing spell. I keep on trying not to raid when i still have a shield but i still get raided once or twice when the shield is gone. I lost 14-30 trophies and average of 75 k each loot.

3 attacks on me so far while upgrading air defence to lv 4.

Lv4 troops with barb king,barbs,giants,healer, dragon, balloons, and wallbreakers....(2 stars-60 percent)
Lv4 Troops with barb king,wizards,minions,balloons, giants, healers, spells(heal and rage)(3 stars)
lv3 troops with spells(rage and 2 heals),barbs, giants,balloons, healers, wizards,archers,wallbreakers(2 star(60 percent)

I think just finish that air defense and then upgrade th to 7

That's very likely, and also think on where you have placed your air defence

So what is the problem after all? If you're upgrading the AD it's obvious that you can't do nothing, just wait until it's done. When it's done put it in the middle.

Just remember that this is game is about the long run. You are going to get raided and lose with defenses down and

you are going to get raided with defenses maxed and still lose. Because no matter how good you are there is always

someone better. Personally I try to do 3-4 defenses at the same time because it means when they are done I am that

much stronger. My advice would be upgrade your defenses as efficiently as possible and don't sweat the losses

because you can make the loot back by raiding anyways. Just try to pour extra gold into walls before you pay to upgrade

a defense and don't forget to have army camps full and barracks stocked before you log off to minimize elixir loss.

Try to stay in the lowest league you can while still maximizing loot gain. Good luck!

p.s. good work getting Air defense to lvl 4 at th6 I didn't know the importance of them until TH7.

agreed. Months from now he won't have to play catchup.

Theres honestly no way to avoid this unless you just drop trophies, even with your air defense you would barely be doing anything to those armies

I'm only TH 5 right now, but have hardly encountered any real issues with air raids (+/- 1000 trophies at the moment). I'm guessing this becomes a bigger threat in higher leagues?

At TH5-6, you should be worried about the giant + healer troops. AD is the most effective way to counter that. Keep it deep inside so that they would ignore your base and move to another easier target.
