i am thinking of farming up there coz i need dark elixir and also people have said that there are great gold and elixir there.
1)can someone share me some replays and logs?
2)also what are the attacks that i can face there?
3)are there inactives there?
4)can i use Balloonion there?
5)are there some bases which have their storages near the outside layer?
6)what are the strategies that u recommend?

Farming in crystal is way harder than in say gold 1. Bases are much stronger and almost all of them are th9s

TH8 advantages is able to take good amount of loot from TH7
there is no rich TH7 up there and you're just making your life harder, raiding strong guys with limited troops.
focus on DE farming on TH9/TH10, not TH8.
on TH8, just get your walls done and upgrade your TH ... any DE upgrades can be done on TH9 much more easily :)
Crystal is only good for DE farming. If you want gold/elixer, go down to Gold 3.

There's just no TH8s here (except if they are pushing), only TH9 and TH10.
There's a reason for that.
A TH8 here, no matter how maxed it is, is a very easy three star, you don't even need spells for it.
As a TH8, do yourself a favour and stay in the region from Silver 1 to Gold 2.
YOu don't need to max you DE upgrades as a TH8, it's way easier to do as a TH9. Not only do you get another drill and three more levels on each drill, you also get some max troops that allow you to raid for DE storages with much more efficiancy than as a TH8 with the weak level 5 troops.

Im mid-lvl th8 i guess and anything above high gold 2/low gold 1 is like being a midget in a heavyweight boxing match.
I've made far more progress eeking away at DE (like a few hundred per raid) and not using any than trying to steal it from folk who hang around in crystal.
th9's will take great pleasure in smashing your base regularly. . . just like you do to th7's now lol. The th outside thing rarely works either - I think its a less used strategy to get to Masters.
I definitely agree with this as well. Like I said, when my DE storage starts filling up and I get raided for DE, its from th9s with level 5 troops and they don't have much difficulty penetrating my base and getting the goods (granted, I'm still in the earlier stages of th8, approaching mid). I'm going to max my DE troops cause I have the DE and sometimes use balloon/minion and almost always use hogs in clan wars. But if you're having trouble with DE and don't use dark troops so often then maybe you want to wait. But it's definitely doable!Quote:

It is incredibly easy to farm ALL resources in crystal 3, stay around the low 2000's and try not to venture past 2100. you learn to balance collector raiding with 1 starring weak th9's. 3 star any TH7's you see and 1-2 other TH8's. only caveat is that you will get most if not all of your available loot taken during a raid, so you should plan your farming accordingly. Ex. if you have a builder free in a few hours, start farming and you should be able to get 1.5-2 million in about 2 hours, around the time your builder should be freeing up. keep your TH outside when you do not have much loot, and put it inside when you are loaded. this is coming from personal experience, i've been farming in crystal 3 for about a month and love it.

i am finding 300k+loot anytime i attack just for some failed attacks
shall i go higher or remain there?
I am two days more to th 9. Farming at c3. Of course with TH outside. Good DE from inactive base. 800 minimum per raid. Easy barch troops. Farming DE for AQ.
Instead of focusing on gold/elixir and just getting de loot when it comes, focus on de and the gold/elixir comes. I'm a th8 in the top range of Gold II and raid for de primarily. My BK is up to 5 and I don't plan on upgrading until I can have 60k de saved up to by the queen immediately. I'm still a long way from a defensive standpoint anyway but since people protect their DE, you normally end up stealing a good portion of gold/elixir anyway during the de raids. Also once you pass I would say about the half way point in th8, there's a lot less elixir needs anyway.Quote:

i stayed in crystal half my time as th8, other half i was in gold 1. de is so easy but gold is much harder. i have 530k heroic heist while my gold grab is only 217 mil. for the past 2 weeks i've had a full 80k de because theres nothing left to upgrade and my walls are only 2/3 done.
the 1900-2100 range really is basically harder bases, but not too much harder, but better loot. and trust me, the DE is AMAZING (at least for TH7s and TH8s)
