No matter what your base design is, if you have low loot it's a good design, but obviously that's not always easy to maintain.

I think hogs could be a problem as well as loons, but for gold and maybe low crystal you should do great

The base is for Silver and Gold....nothing more....its not that a non Anti hog base doesn't do well against hogs...but this one goner get 3 star easily.
Non Anti Hog base for Hogs have their own defense mechanism..to separate the Hogs and break it down to small groups to make the heal spells hard to estimate the location. Some examples of this is having tesla and defenses outside the walls and funneling the hogs to separate them.
