Upgrade to TH9 or upgrade walls to level 8

I am almost done maxing out defenses (see attached image). Should I stay at TH8 and avoid the loot penalty for awhile in order to upgrade my walls? Or should I upgrade to TH9 and skip out on the walls for a bit?

I'm a little anxious to move on because of the increased offense, archer queen, more DE, and xbows.

They're seriously worth it in the long run - and they look cool ;)

In town hall 9, you will get attacked a lot by hogs and ballonion so wall are not that important. Also in th 9 , you can get lvl 6 troop, archer queen, xbow ,and many more

and a big loot penalty with alot more stuff to upgrade.

if you dont do it now you'll never want to do it. and they do have big value.

try to do them in the middle so you dont have to save them till the end and have idle builders.

loot penalty? isn't that the OLD loot system?

Anyways, I would recommend upgrading walls first. Not because the loot is bad a th9. The loot is fine. But upgrades at town hall 9 cost tons and tons of gold, and trying to get lvl 8 walls on top of those upgrades will just overwhelm you. So get it out of the way early, so you don't have to worry about it when you are spending 5 million gold on a single archer tower.

I agree with you about upgrading your walls, but reason 2 is not really a good reason - you'll actually prefer a noob to attack your base and not a th9 with high level AQ :p
