Advice Needed - Tactics & Trophy Dropping

Greetings All,

I have been reading the forums for a few days now and have been seeing people referring to "sweet spots" and "dropping trophies".

Is there any strategy devised to stay in a sweet spot in regards to trophies? What is the best strategy to drop trophies?

I just worked my way up to 1270 trophies to get the gems from the "Sweet Victory" achievement. Now I'm saving those gems for the 3rd builders hut.

Here are my stats, any advice is much appreciated! The reason I'm asking about the trophy sweet spot is because I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find targets.

TH 6
Troop Cap: 130
Army usually 10-15 wall breakers, Giants, Archers, Goblins: all level 3
Sometimes just wallbreakers, Archers, Giants. (I have level 2 wizards but they are too expensive so I never use them)
Spell Factory: Level 1
Level 4 Lab
Level 2 CC

(I am not looking to spend money on this game, I spent thousands on Game of War - Fire Age and had to cold quit because it was getting too ridiculous)

For a TH6, I'd say you can chill around 1200-1300

Swith to BAg army with 8 wb around 1150-1250.

aaah Ok, switch to Barbarian, Archer, Goblin army with 8 wall breakers.

Town hall 6 you really have to start learning to use giant/healer army with heal spells. Thats how you push for trophies or do collector raids and batch for loot. Thats all barbs and archers with wall breakers.

Thank you for the tactical advice Beardo! I am not trophy pushing anymore since I've achieved "Sweet Victory". Now I'm just raiding for loot to max out my defenses. With that being said, the gems I received from achievements has nearly granted me 500 gems, I'm about 30 gems shy of being able to buy a third builder hut.

At my level is there any way to get gems or any simple achievements I could complete? I just completed the first "Get the Goblins" achievement which bumped me up to 469 gems. Now, I'm looking at the X-Bow Exterminator achievement and wondering if I will see one at my trophy level, and if I do see one will I be able to take it out?

I read that earlier Doku, good read, and very informative! But, there are many questions in this thread that are still unanswered.

A fast army combo for th6 ?(townhall 6)
Barch- barbarian , arch (40% barbarian 60%)
Bag-barbarian-goblin-arch(30% barbarian 30% goblins 40% arch)
feel free to change no of troops to b used..also carrying wall breakers will b useful
Note:for a th6..barch bag may not assure you 50% each raid..ie winning chances are low but it's best for farming

Longer train time combo-
Gaint-healer
This combo can b used from th6..very effective to 3* bases
Combo(for 150 spaces)
10 gaints
10 wall breakers
1/2 healer
rest-goblins n archers
Spell- heal
Again..feel free to change no of troops to b used..also including wizards will b a big help but will take longer to train

Trophy dropping ?
Train some barbarians and drop one barbarian each every battle

Sathvik, awesome and thanks for the advice. One thing though, I don't think I can make healers at TH 6. But, I just realized I can upgrade the Spell Factory to gain a healing spell capability so that's my next move after this tower and CC finishes upgrading. Still 31 gems shy of getting an extra builders hut.

The way I 3 starred bases on my way up to accomplish the Sweet Victory achievement was 15 Wallbreakers / 16 Giants / and the remainder all Archers.

not sure bud, but you're not in Defense or Attack logs..

As a th6 I think 900-1000 worked for me but it does change sometimes and it also depends on what type of army your using too. Once you find a range that works well for you need to stay there which was your other question. If you need to drop trophies then drop 1 barb and then surrender, you'll lose 20-30 trophies. If you need to go up then you'll win some from farming and can win others from th sniping. It sounds like your using giants and archers. This is really a trophy strategy more than a farming strategy. Read up on BARCH, it's probably the most effective farming strategy in the game and there's lots of posts on forum so I won't go into details here. Make sure all camps, laboratory and spell factory are maxed for your th level.

thanks for the tips! I have been BARCHing since I dropped trophies and working on upgrading everything. Now I'm Xbow hunting because I need the gems for BH 3.

If anyone can look at the picture of my base and advise, which I submitted on my OP, that would be great!
