Hello,
Currently when you donate troops into the clan castles during war preparation, they do not get added to your Clan Donations total.
This seems a little strange to me, and does not reward does who are really helping out.
Hopefully a change that could be introduced.

Yes - I just submitted the same idea in the Clan War forum. I do not understand why these are not counted.
You haven't considered the cons.
If war donations counted, then low lvl players would try to donate their low level troops to clan wars to increase their total donated troops count to help them get their "friend in need" achievement done. You don't want crappy low level troops in your war base to defend right?
This is where you say "oh, but it doesn't matter because you can dump war troops now!"
Well, are you going to want to do this exercise 5, 10, 20, 30 separate times per war prep day? Because all your clan mates will want to get in on the donation action to up their count, so everyone who can, will give you ♥♥♥♥, knowing you will dump it any way.
What if you're busy the last few minutes as prep day ends and you can't be online to clash, and the last thing you were donated was level 2 giants in your war base, but you didn't have enough time to dump them? Won't that be stupid to have lvl 2 giants defend your base in war?
So how does Supercell remedy this? They make it so donations don't count, so that way the only people donating to war bases are high level, high strength troops because these players are already done their "friend in need" achievement so the fact that the donations don't count doesn't matter to them. these are the people you want donating to your base, so SC was smart to intentionally not count war troop donations.
Now you know. But someone else will ask this same question later today. And again tomorrow. And the next day......

This is a weak argument. You can post a message in your war TH of what troops you want donated. Boot those that violate your clan rules...like donating troops not requested. Also, most active clans have donate to receive ratio quotas, counting war donations helps those of us that can't be on as frequently and miss the in chat opportunities to donate. There is far more be benefit in counting war donations and the negatives can be managed with clan leadership.Quote:

The problem is, 20 of your clanmates have the same bright idea as you. So what happens is you only end up being able to donate 10-15 of your wizards, when you cooked 50 of them. You're not the only one, 19 other clan members are stuck with 35 wizards that they can't donate to clan war bases anymore and they either have to raid with them or wait for regular requests to be filled, which will take FOREVER since so many of you have extra wizards on hand. You guys will have wasted a ton of time and elixir just to try to get your donations in as fast as possible to help out your donation ratios.
This is a much bigger problem.
And no, I don't think my argument was weak at all, I think it is very valid, and I think SC agrees.
Both reasons are not even touching on possible solutions and just taking extremist stances. A possible solution to bad donating players, one i would like to see implemented, is an at war donation tracker. I would be able to see who the one person out of my 49 active members is that is donating giants during each war. Right now it is impossible to detect who that person might be and I would be stuck just removing 12 people from the clan. A tracker that resets after every war and does not count towards an achievement. Then there is no reason for anyone to inflate their donation numbers and I can handle the problem player with pure, undoluted, focused hate.Quote:

It's a pretty bad explanation, but at least it wasn't ignored. Here's the pertinent part........
- Showing Donation History - we will not add this. It is not part of the normal clan mode and we feel it is "too hardcore" to be able to track who is donating what. See the next note though
Great point - I think regardless of whether players get anything out of the donations or not, it would be nice to see who is donating and they gave.Quote:
