Upgrading to TH9 - Have I Got The Right Idea?

Hey guys, within the next couple of weeks I will be upgrading to TH9. I am making this thread to show you guys what im planning to do and whether you think it isan okay plan.
~Note~ I will be posting images as I get them.
~Note 2~ Please do not say "upgrade your splash defences first" as I am not stupid and have been playing the game for over a year and so I think I know what Im doing. Im also being a bit abstract in my upgrading because I wanna be different :)

CURRENT BASE FACTS:
IGN: Eddie-56
I am TH8
Level 85
Elixir stuff is maxxed.
Defences are maxxed apart from teslas (level 4)
Walls 126/225 skulls
BK level 5, minions maxxed, all other DE stuff level 1 (hogs, valks, golems)
I am in Cobalt Temples if you want to check my base.

WHEN GET TO TH9:
I have 4 builders.
Build AQ (assuming i have enough DE)
Build all low cost/time buildings
Builder 1: Upgrade lab.
Builder 2: Xbow
Builder 3: Xbow
Builder 4: DE drill

THEN - ELIXIR
Upgrade camps
Upgrade spell factory
Upgrade DE drills to max
Upgrade DE Storage to max
Upgrade Dark Barracks

THEN - GOLD
Upgrade all defences to TH8 level
Upgtade CC
Upgrade Mortars to 7
Upgrade Xbows to 2
Upgrade Wiz Towers to 7
Upgrade Xbows to 3
Upgrade Ads to 7
Upgrade Point defences
I will be upgrading a wall to level 9 after every upgrade as a challenge set by my friend.

THEN - DE
Once my xbows are level 3 or maybe my wizards towers are level 7 I will DE farm for level 10 - 15 heroes and level 5 minions.

TROOP UPGRADES:

BASE DESIGN:
I will choose from one of these bases. (unless someone has a better one) Please suggest which base you think is best.

I prefer to max storages, wizard towers and army camps first before working with x-bows. For base, it seems the best for newly upgraded TH 9 is the last one. I used something like that too for the first month of my TH 9. All other base design is good, but only when you no longer need to worry about elixir.

I guess its a good plan, but I dont understand why you dont use a detailed plan for th8, your king is under developed, and your options for troops at 9 will be very limited without the use of your dark troops.. I guess I disagree with the upgrade at 9 everything is double expensive and double the time. Good luck..

You're fine to upgrade to TH9.
Build long time and short time / expensive and cheap mixed together is the best idea.:)

Sounds like a good plan to me. I went up Saturday and my schedule went like this (5 builders) so far.

Got Archer Queen
2 Xbows
Lab
Camp
Archer Tower 1-2-3-4-5
Gold Storage 1-2-3
Elixir Storage 1-2-3-4-5
Wizard Tower
Air Defense
Wizard Tower level 2
Dark Elixir Drill

Currently full elixir so I cannot wait for my Xbows and Lab to finish so I can start getting offensive upgrades going. Also have 24 of my new walls level 7 and one skull wall.

I will max storages as fast as I can. It comes under the - Get New Buildings go TH8 Level thingy. :)

Im going to TH9 for a change of scenery as I am finding TH8 a bit boring now. As for the non upgraded DE troops, I havent upgraded them because I am a farmer and am hopeless at trophy pushing so when ever I push I snipe, use mass drag, loonian or use barch.

Check out unitysharps th9 guide here on the forums.... A very good read.

I personally would do 1 camp instead of both xbows. Extra troops=faster farming. And lvl 1 xbows won't help you anyway. Your elixir upgrages are right on and of course your lab and AQ need to be the very first thing you do.

One thing you may want to consider is upgrading your queen every chance you get. Upgrade her constantly as she is a huge, huge, huge benefit on offense. She is a DE farming machine.

Also, I find mortors to be totally useless at th9 and teslas are by FAR your best defense (yes they are better than xbows cuz you get 4 of them and their dps is higher). Your main goal needs to be to defend against lvl 6 giants and hogs. That is about 90% of the attacks you get. So the teslas are HUGE (and eventually xbows lvl 3).

Max Teslas
Upgrade wiz towers to 7
Upgrade Xbows to 3
Upgrade Ads to 7
Mortors
Upgrade Point defences

I would recommend trying to do walls in between some upgrades as it really gets to be a grind if you don't.

As far as bases go, I wouldn't use any of those. They are either susceptible to hogs, or don't do a good job of protecting your DE (which you will be holding a ton of because you want to upgrade your Queen constantly). Ringus is probably your best bet for bases right now even though it's used a lot.

I think your pretty decent... TH9 is just around the corner for you

Personally i have used the 2nd and 5th base that you have listed and they both are amazing!
