There are so many great clans, but often are they flooded and lost in the midst of all other clans. I've created an iPhone App which allows Clan Leaders to advertise their clan to the world in a simple and effective way.

This is just the beginning. I want to add more features and make this a better application.

Please provide feedback and suggestions. This is an app for the community!

Astute observation! I realized that the original Forum Category, Clan Talk, did not target individuals looking for clans or clans looking for individuals—those are two subforums thereof. So, I figured the General category is best suited for the desired blanket effect.

No need to quote the whole post as a reply—sort of an eye sore and user experience detriment; you and I both know what forum the original came from.

It's not an alternative to the forum. Clans that are advertised most on the forums are those which have the most active threads. An active thread is not an indication of an active clan.

Thank you! I don't think the forum comparison is accurate. This is very different than the forums. I'm trying to bring quality clans to quality players. The forums don't do that too well.

I'm not. In fact, I'm losing money: Apple's Developer License cost $99 per year. I released a version several months ago which had two micro-transactions of $1.99 and $0.99, but removed them in 1.0 in spirit of balance.

I really want quality clans to be the most visible, not those willing to spend the most money. The legacy monetization encouraged "pay-to-win" as opposed to the "pay-to-play" balance I dearly cherish.

If there is to be any sort of monetization in the future, it will originate organically and enhance the overall experience, not take away from it.

I downloaded the app and put in my clan.
My thoughts- There needs to some way to comunicate with players, and i place for the player to put in their IGN. Because otherwise theres not really any recruiting aspect...

Downvote. Personally I play on Android and half my friend do as well. Anything that's on iOS and not Android or on Android and not iOS is annoying.

I agree. I would like to add in functionality akin to your description. The recruiting aspect, currently, is such that players can search for clans inside the game, whereas clans cannot search for players.

I'm sorry to hear that. The thread title for this application emphasizes iOS exclusivity: "iPhone & iPod Touch App."

However, in the future, I would love to build it for Android once there is a fuller feature set and the app is nearer completion. Right now, there isn't a whole lot of functionality.

Thank you for the feedback! Commenting on clans begs the larger theme of a player-to-clan relationship representation. Currently, only the clan-to-player relationship is expressed. I would love for players to be able to advertise themselves to a clan, and interact more so than the current.

I have a suggestion. Most apps in the App Store cost money, right? When you spend all your money you have like 57 cents or 89 cents, right? And no app costs that much or lower, if you also add a feature to pay like 5 cents and 1 cents or specific amount that you choose you could earn like a point to change your clan's name!

SC could sue him if he was profiting I believe. They Trademarked/Patented/Copyrighted CoC so he would need to ask them/send them the profits.

I'm sorry; I don't completely understand. Are you suggesting I implement an in-app purchase costing 5 cents?

I do like the idea of adding features for clans to customize themselves more. I would like to add the option for certain clans to upload screenshots of their bases, war victories, etc, in the near future. It'd be pretty cool.

There are a lot of apps that coat money and are clash of clans toturials, share base designs and stuff.

I am beginning to understand what you're saying. I'm not asking for donations. There is no monetization right now and there won't be until it flows organically from the user's experience backwards. This app is not designed to make money. It is designed to promote quality clans. Should there come a time in the future where monetization makes sense, fine. If not, that's fine, too.
