Honestly I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about. I'm sitting at gold 1 right now and having no trouble finding bases with 200k+ resources. I've used for the last several months a BARCH strategy and have no problem finding easy collector bases with additional Dark Elixir. I will say that some days are harder than others to find bases but if you attack in the morning or somewhat late at night is the easiest. i'll post some pictures too to prove this.
I guess since I'm retiring, it doesn't hurt to spill da beans.
I like to farm in the 1900-2100 range. Sometimes I go for easy storages, sometimes collectors. and DE is amazing up here, at least for TH7 and TH8. But I can tell you I will be one of those people...
If you come across my base, rob my collectors, but leave my base and storages alone. Gimme some nice trophies thanks.:cool:

I tend to find them in the 1600 - 1700 Range, offering 200 - 400k of each and decent dark.
Im not finding inactives either, only easy storages in silver 1 :D
Stumbled upon a load of inactives and/or easy storages this afternoon - haven't seen head nor tail of them for weeks but they just started popping up. Guess its almost time for a "maintenance break" when the queue gets reset... been awhile since the last one. :rolleyes:
TH8 floating between 1400-1600 trophies atm. Hit probably 7-8 inactives during 4 hours of farming today each offering 200+ each easy, and the odd 2 of them or so were offering upwards of 400+ each, full or nearly full storages and collectors :o
Though not as often as I wanted, I still found collector raids around 1600-1700s.
Town Hall 8 here and I am finding lots... I have way too much elixir can't keep up with upgrades.
1400-1600 for gold/elixir
1600-1800 a bit less gold/elixir but more dark elixir
1900+ experimenting atm, but I am clicking next a lot...
I haven't been struggling with loot really at all, occasional collector raid 400k+, otherwise a good storage raid. I hang around Gold I
the collector raids have gone. Supercell takes abandoned bases off the raiding list. But i heard that if you change your language to italian or Japanese there is heaps of collector bases there due to supercell not taking the abandoned bases off those servers
