Harassment of a clan of children

Dear Supercell,

Thank you for a wonderful game that has allowed me and my child, and many children and parents in my child's class to have a lot of fun. A lot of the children at my little one's school have started clashing. I first found out about CoC when my child left the cell phone at home and I heard the alerts. I picked up the phone and thought, "My baby is being raided by who???!!!" I looked at the game and even though I did not know anything about it I took one look at the village defenses and said, "This will not do." So initially I got into CoC in order to quickly build up so I could send my baby and the other kids in the class off to battle with the best troops possible.

I quickly learned that my child was in a clan, started by a classmate, and this clan leader was allowing random players in it. Another parent and I joined up to monitor as much as possible and make sure the kids were playing safe. At this point the kids are on clan restructuring attempt #4. This new clan is the first clan they have made in which they are deciding real school friends only, no random players or former random clan members from the former now closed clans. The new clan is set to invite only at this time.

We are having an issue with one of these former random clan members. This individual held three different CoC accounts and at some time all three accounts held membership in one of the old clans. The children decided to boot this person out after, as co-leader, he declared war and then deserted the clan. Now that we have started this new schoolmates only clan this person has found us and keeps asking for entry. He made it in once for a few minutes when the newest incarnation of the clan was formed on the first day before the status was set to "invite only". I do not think this person is aware that our clan is mostly made up of younger minors, but I cannot be sure because I wasn't always present in chat 24/7. I consider this person repeatedly asking to join after he has been specifically told he is not welcome and, "... never come back...", to be a form of harassment. Is there a way to report bad behavior like this, especially where younger minors are concerned? I was hoping you could help us. Feel free to write me at the e-mail attached to this profile.

Why dont you just close the clan to applications? If i understood correctly this guy is harrashing and annoying the clan with his application to the clan?

That is correct. The children made it invite only because they are still wanting to allow other school mates into the clan. Grown ups could handle this situation easily, but this person is repeatedly and consistently attempting to get back in and for young ones it is more than annoying and upsetting. One of the kids told me it is like having a scary stranger banging on the house door.

I guess if we strictly coordinated with other children who wanted to join we could close the clan and then invite only for a time we new exactly when someone was requesting entry.

This person's behavior is bizarre as far as I'm concerned. Is this kind of thing common in CoC?

I wouldn't call it common, but it's not unheard of. The Bear Family has it's share of stalkers. Some that come around once a month and others who apply to every clan in the family several times a week.

Reporting through the in game report system is the most effective way to deal with the problem, and there isn't much SuperCell can do, unfortunately.

How did this random person keep finding your child's new clan over and over though? Perhaps a through re-boot is needed. Dissimilar clan name, new clan shield, etc. It should be easy to tell the good clanmates where to go since they are all from the same school.

My clan had its stalker, a guy that harassed us and then, after our leader's unfortunate finger slip, promoted him to leader instead of kicking him out. He then kicked us all out and proceeded to lock the clan, then leave. In all our other clans, we've had him as a stalker (always kicked out of course) until I made the brother clan (we'd always made feeders, not brother clans). He finally got the message! I still remember his name though DX
Another time someone joined and started telling the kids about the birds and the bees, the second I got on (about 30 seconds in, too late) he was kicked out. He wasn't kicked out because 1) we only had one elder on and 2) that elder wasn't really responsible. A month later or so he was kicked out.
I honestly am the one of the only non-noob people here that doesn't know how to report :/

Unfortunatelly i also experienced a few of this type of crazy people in Turkish servers too. Im sorry that your situation is worse cos you have your babies playing in that clan. I hope they ban the person as soon as possible.

According to ToS no one under the age of 13 is even supposed to be playing if im not mistaken. I doubt supercell is going to take any responsibility or take much action.

I don't know how to help you, but I want to compliment you for actually taking the time to watch over your kid, instead of prohibiting him to play or just letting him be.

Seven reports needed for a single twenty four hour ban. And somebody said a full seven counts if reported on a single, specfifc post.
