Dragons: Overpowered?

Had a person in a war raid our top guy (town hall 10 with lvl 7 air def + maxed infernoes) and easily got 2 stars. Partially due to their maxed heroes, but still...

In addition, didn't mean to spark all the funny trolling and replies. Was stating my opinion. But seriously, the trolls are a bit silly. If one can become the top player by just using all drags (Jorge Yao), they're a bit too powerful.

"Overpowered" to me means you can deploy full loads and pretty much 99.9% of the time, without regard to the base layout or levels and be ensured victory.

At times in the game, Archers, PEKKAs, Minions, Hogs have all been pretty much no-brainers for deploying max troops and watch a base fall. Supercell monitors stats for millions upon millions of daily attacks for trends and makes adjustments as necessary though.

Do max dragons on max bases win with almost certainty? No.

Can skilled players with max dragons use strategy and obtain a victory on many types of base layouts? Sure. But... so can folks well versed in the use of Balloons, Hogs, GoWiWi, even experienced Barchers can get 1-star on most bases.

That's just my personal opinion, in the right hands, just about any troop or troop combo can be lethal if up against the right village layout.

Twister is right. Do you think first time mass dragon users got three stars? Or second time dragon users? Third? Maybe, but it is not likely. You may have been good at something or had "beginner's luck", but it is practice that makes you great.

As a matter of fact, they often do, lol... Dragons are just deployed all on the same spot, yet they still get 3 stars. Guess the only way to combat this is to start using them :D:D:D!

Pigs: OP.
Pekkas: OP.
Disco Balls: OP.
Golems: OP.
TH10: OP.
Witches: OP.
Dragons: OP.
Wizards: OP.
Why not, now barbarians are overpowered!

I have seen some nasty fails by dragon users

Besides, mass dragon is one of the most expensive armies when it comes to normal elixir (if not the most expensive)

I won't disagree with you there. Max heroes are brutal. I suspect with the right base, someone could take max heroes and the rest goblins and get a victory.


2 of my 3 clan wars losses came from max heroes accompanied by heavy ground troops, and the third was full dragons, but... I had x-bows on ground 8-( I am far from maxed TH10 and still stop 2 out of 3 dragon attacks when xbows are on air. But again, the true "Pro's" out there who can lure the CC and Heroes, and use spells quite well can take down just about any base.

There are troop combo's out there that will take down any base with the right person controlling them. That's part of the fun of clash.

But for something to be Overpowered, I still look at it as anybody with any skill level can deploy on any base and win much, if not all of the time (As I said before, old-timers can remember doing this with Archers, PEKKAs, Minions, and Hogs that I can remember).

Dragons aren't OP. Trust me, when I first started dragging for overnight attacks and clan wars, I sucked at it. I mean with the wrong strategy, it's very easy to massively fail. After tons of practice though, they are very strong and can be enough for a th8 to 3 star a maxed th9. Their strength all depends on how you deploy them, what spells you use, your cc troops, etc. very much like every other troop combo.

Just because you can two star people with a troop doesnt make it overpowered..
