General GOWIWI question...

So I got my Golems to lvl 5 a bit ago and am a few days out from finishing my last troop for it, WB. I've been practicing gowiwi and getting ready for my first run at Champ.

Hero sleep and troop training is long, but boosted, not too bad. However, spells are a different story. For all five I'm looking at 3.5+ hours. Even boosted, that's a loooong time.

Is this really what people do? It is my understanding that once in champ I will get attacked as soon as I log off. Do people really sit there for hours waiting for one army/spells to train? I was able to get in 5 gowiwi attacks last night, boosted and with light gemming. Is this really how it goes?

Previously I was able to get to 3000 with barch and a few wizzies. Lightning takes much less time to make. IDK, maybe I just stick with barch and mass hog to get to champ. Sure it will be mostly one stars, but I will get in 2-3 times more attacks.

I'm really just wondering if this is normal play for gowiwi. Over an hour, much more if not boosting, of sitting with the game open waiting to attack.

Okay I'm going to tell you my secret about gowiwi at champion without gemming :rolleyes:
So, it's pretty simple. I only attack one time everyone 3hours or so, without gemming and when I get off, I usually only lose 1 to 3 trophies.
Try to find target with 30+ trophies and 2 stars it
I went to 3490 that way 😁

If all you want to do is reach Champs for the league achievements, you could use Balloonions. It's much cheaper and quicker to train. Just go for 50% one-stars.

I am currently push farming in Masters II with balloons. I have been trying to stick to 20 loons or more with at least 2 spells available in case I have a miscalculation. Lvl 25 BK, just in case (and dang, once you get heros up this high they got a really high insurance factor).

I look for bases that are premature Th10 and attack the portion that is (generally everyone has infernos past level 1 here)

BUT I've been getting smashed by GoWiWi every time my gold and DE gets too high

These have all been 5 spell with heros at the very least in there teens

A few only scratched me (1 star wins, 50% resources) but the truly good GoWiWi attacks crushed me for +75%. Those attacks who hit the high marks probably didn't need all 5 spells to hit that percent, but I am pretty sure they needed at least 3. Two freeze spells to basically neuter my core and one rage to capitalize on the 8 seconds.

Butt his would be with both heros, at least at lvl 15 (20 more practical) - both these attacked by the BK into my core.

Other attack styles work but are riskier. Hogs are pretty good but to put up big wins does require skill (despite what people say). Balloons will get you those 50% wins but 2 stars are very hard to do. Balloons area also horribly unforgiving of mistakes (most of my mess ups are miscalculations as to how many loons it takes to take out a specific defense). People with insane BARCH skills have done the said task, again high level heros I am sure are required. Mass Drag is effective but is just as intense on spell usage without the chance at 3 starring someone. (I love dragons but with 4 AD and 5 seeking mines, netting a 3 star is a tough slog)

I got a maxed level hero and I'm at high trophies. Lv40 queen takes 3 hours to heal up. So we just boost everything ( barracks, heros, spells). And we do other stuff while waiting

I'm not into the achievement. My TH10 base is coming along well and I hope to push to top200 one day. That's still a ways off, but I would like to get into champ and get used to being there. I've been playing at 2750-2900 for a while now, time to move up. I can make the time, when needed, for that big run, so one day.... ah, one day.

Thank you. The last time I really used loonion seriously was for my push to masters at TH9. Months ago. I could give them a go again, but they also seem pretty spell intensive and unreliable(I'm only ok with them). Maybe I will mess with them hard for a couple weeks to get my skills up. At this point I am much better with barch, usually about 8 or 9 for ten attacks in masters 2. But I'm willing to adjust and do what it takes.

Mostly I guess, I was just wondering if this is normal for gowiwi players. I like the idea of regular 2 star wins, but while I do spend money, I'm not rich and can't rush 300 gem armies constantly.

From what i understand, players who use Gowiwi or Gowipe on a regular basis usually insta gem their troop, spells, and heroes.

It's 3.5+ hrs worth of spells, un boosted. Which, even boosted(yes, much less) is still a very long time.

My math's fine, maybe you should learn to read.
