Can't attack. Village owner is online.

When you go into your Defense Log, when you click on the Revenge button and it says "Can't attack. Village owner is online."

Does that mean that they are online and they have a shield? (meaning unattackable)

or

They are online, but not having a shield.

So basically, which takes precedence? Shield or online?

when they are on line they are playing, upgrading, attacking, when they have a shield it says has a shield

Online without a shield: "Village owner is online."
Online WITH a shield: "Village owner is online."
Offline WITH a shield: "Village has a shield."

When they are online, even with a shield, it doesn't mean they are attacking other bases. It just means they are online. They could be collecting resources or chatting with their clan. But still under a shield.

So basically, as long as it says "Village owner is online", you don't know whether they are under a shield or not, correct? That is until they go offline.
