Clan War Layouts
I am just looking for others input on designing WAR only layouts.
Doesn't it make sense to put the resource storages outside the walls for the clan wars base because they have higher Hit Points than the resource collectors... which means that the enemies will spend more time attacking those and getting hit by defense structures/units..?
Are there any other tips similar to this? :confused:

Honestly theres sooo many options that havent been experimented yet for war layouts I would love to see more ideas and interesting layouts come about

Town Hall 7 Clan War Layout - Spread out, good coverage, enemy wont know where bombs are due to spacing of buildings outside walls, storages with higher Hit Points are outside walls to take damage from attackers but still within range of defenses so they can reach attackers.

Town Hall 8 Clan War Layout - Spread out, some high hit point buildings outside walls, some inside. Attackers will spend time attacking high hit point buildings outside while defense structures hit them. Spacing outside wall will keep enemy guessing where bombs might be as they can fit inside or outside base.

Town Hall 9 Clan War Layout - Good spread out coverage, some high hit points inside, some outside. Multiple spaces outside and inside base where bombs/traps might be. Extra builder in corner to attract units and help kill time to prevent getting three starred. Open design to attract giants into traps, can be closed off or left open.

Did you make these yourself? They seem like solid bases against anything but hogs. I can only speak for the th 8+, I run a war clan and we have been in 17 wars, but those two bases are very easy targets for hog raids, which is for the most part what has dominated high level competition in war.

In general with clan wars, storages don't matter and a one-star attack can be pretty much considered a fail, so a good clan wars base is pretty much based on preventing attackers from destroying the TH at all costs. A straight up trophy pushing base actually isn't what you want since in Clan Wars letting an opponent 50% your base isn't that big a deal.
You are right that you want to place storages is spots where they will act as tanks. I'd also say protecting the TH means concentrating teslas and some of the traps near the TH. Teslas are nice simply because you can pack more firepower in a small area, and they can't get zapped until 50% of the base is destroyed or they are already wailing on troops.

I just did this base a few hours ago, it's a bit different. I am curious to see if it holds up and how people approach it.

Storages are often in middle to provide meat shield or make an anti hog ring
