my farm has already gone into deadlock and I have now stopped playing the game due to getting fed up with not being able to do anything because I have NO SPACE - NONE.... N-O-N-E! ... and I am not getting rid of items because I need them for boats, trucks, customers etc ... this isn't fun anymore :(

This is a great idea!!!! Everyone runs out of storage because of this. I agree!
It isn't always a case of "selling off what you've got"
I don't hold on to my expansion tools - I keep enough for what I need and sell the rest - at all times - and yet I still have NO space in my barn because of expansion items! - it was working ok until the town came along, the town requires A LOT of new tools for expansion and it's not simply a case of just not holding onto them ... and then again, what you need goes up each time you expand and it's not just a simple expansion process in the town, there are several things to "expand" on so you HAVE to hold onto your expansion items, its not like the barn where if you know you get a lot of mallets then you sell them when you don't need them. (if anything this actually prevents people from selling the new expansion items)
I need bricks, paint, screws ect for not only updating the size but also the amount of money/points etc ... the masteries worked better in this regard - if you are going to have an alternative to the mastery of buildings then we either need to be needing fewer expansion tools or somewhere to put these because my barn is overflowing with only a few town expansion items, I have not got enough of ANY expansion tools in town or in farm to make any expansions for anything YET my barn is too full because of expansion items...

Well with a tool shed added to the game you can just forget about that as no one would be selling them anymore making it even more difficult to save up those items scarce for you.
You really do not need to hold on to more expansion items then your next upgrade requires of any particular kind. If for example nails is your easiest why do you need to hold on to an amount for 2-3-4 upgrades if you can't get the screws ? The greater the imbalance is the more difficult it will be to hunt down the items you need. Sell your surplus! by the time you get the items you need you will also get more of the ones you dont need and for the next upgrade after that you will find them again.
If you're lowish mid-level don't work on everything at once its simply impossible. While land expansions become a available at level 22 you really do not need to expand that much land yet until a long time. I remember a game going up to the coffee kiosk or candy machine before the first land expansions where added so everything up until that level fits on the standard map. You are bound to run into trouble being close to a silo, barn upgrade and land expansion.
Barn management is part of the game. Challenging yes, impossible as is no.

It is also very difficult to keep your farm functioning. Please SuperCell we NEED a tool shed in the next update, so farms can be kept functional.
From personal experience, I am struggling to keep materials to expand both my barn and silo as well as land and all of the town buildings. I am also at the stage now where my items are piling up by my machines as I obviously want to keep them producing at all times and I am also having a nightmare to keep the animals fed as such as I have no space in my barn for the animal food and produce, so forth its becoming very difficult and I do not want to sell big ticket items for the sake of someone from my town perhaps needing them, I am slowly loosing patients and interest in the game, so please let us have a shed for all materials, please?

How can I add my name to the list, I think it's a brilliant idea, I keep having to sell important items to make place for other items to feed my animals or people, not to mention, I cant keep up with boat, truck and train.....
Please add the tool shed as soon as you can, it would help make the game even more enjoyable and addictive!!!!

Yes pleaaaaaaaase for tool shed
I came in the forums to put in a request for a tool shed and I was so happy to see that someone has already started that. It has become very difficult to function and run the farm because the of all the new necessary tools that came with the expansion. Don' t take me wrong, I love the update and the train expansion but it is necessary to have a tool shed to separate all the tools from all the goods that we need to keep to load ships and supply for visitors.
please please take this suggestion very seriously because it is extremely hard to run the farm now with the lack of storage.
