Embarking on a journey to lvl 40 Heroes - Care to join me?

As I mentioned earlier I shifted my two hero builders over to a couple defenses that I've been neglecting, and decided to test my new lvl 15 heroes out over the weekend. They're still pretty low, but I can really tell the difference in them already.

I did a quick push to Masters with my balloons/minions Saturday and Sunday for a change of pace and there were several battles where I was way short and just let go BK/AQ and they tore stuff up. I can't way until the get bigger.

It's crazy how much easier it is to raid with heroes, so I think I might take Stitches advice and raid with one hero awake while while gemming the other complete when I max my storage.

I'm enjoying the slide down from Masters now. Seems like every other base has 2500+ DE that's easy to snag with giants. :)

I really noticed my queen became a machine under rage at 25.

Yeah I totally realise that it would be silly to keep low level heroes for CW, but it is just one of those things that makes it more frustrating. I feel I want a gameplan to stick to, because I do need to make sacrifices either way. If im just barching it up in gold and do no wars, there is absolutely no reason not to upgrade heroes whether I really want them levelled up or not. Now it just takes a bit more of a commitment, although it seems very much worth it. I also do not want to be a th10 with low heroes and have to take them all the way to lvl 40.

Did you see Chief Pat's Defenceless Champion videos? He raids very strong bases with low Heroes and does well. Check them out.

Don't feel it's maxed or nothing, just keep working on them. I'd say get both to level 20 or 25 and then focus on the AQ (if you're serious). Once she is high, and you learn how to use her during farming raids you can absolutely motor through DE collection for the King.



Very sensible.

Because I farmed my DE for the AQ lower down (crystal 3) I could let her upgrade normally. Saying that, I was collecting DE so fast with my tier 1 troops and BK that I was gemming 3 to 4 days of her upgrade time just to put her back to sleep again.

If I was farming DE higher up, say Masters or Champions then I probably wouldn't succeed without her so would do the same.

As Elliot, and Coldfury say, you just need to find what works best for you.

Seems like a good idea to, if possible, gem once you have enough for next upgrade. If I have spare gems I thinks that is best way to use them after boosting barracks/spells. Normally I do not rely much on heroes, but I need to just take a bit fewer risks I think when I cant count on AQ to take down th for an extra star if I mess up. It should be an ok transistion I think, once I accept taking on slightly lower targets.

Right, I think after reading your advice my plan will be to keep AQ under more or less constantly and only gem her if I have enough for next upgrade. BK will be slightly less of a priority, but as soon as I have enough DE for both and an extra builder I will do him same time as well. I will farm a bit higher than before, probably crystal III or II, and focus more on getting DE and just put extra gold towards defences and walls. Should have plenty of gold still I reckon.

Balloons are absolutely viable for getting DE very qiuckly and efficiently. I haven't been able to get the equivalent level of DE per hour as tier 1, but that doesn't mean it's still not viable or a good strategy to use.

Based on your playing style balloons may be the better option, so don't feel that you have to do it the way others are doing it. I just happen to play a fair amount and don't mind boosting, so I'm all about maximizing DE per hour no matter what the method.

Ballons are more comfortable. But for example, barch is better when it comes to get the best possible DE/h.

I'm on a boost now, and with 10 minutes left I've farmed a little bit more than 3 million gold + 11K DE. Focusing on gold.. That did require me sitting down for two hours attacking non stop.
So as you said, depends on play style :)

Hey glad to see you join the party. You said you can Only play for 1.5 hours a day right? Is this in a session or just adding up little time thought the day?

If its adding up little 10 min session every hour then loonians are great. I spent weeks doing loonian raids all day often tuning one bsrracl boost so my reload for 22-24 loons was not too long. I was able to get a lot of De but it did take a lot of time searching which could be a probably for me. I have enough down time for a quick raid in between accounts at work but sometimes loons in c2-3 would take me 6 min of searching for a 1700-2000 De base I could raid and I'd run out of time to even do the raid. But overall I was able to make a decent amount 25-30 k per day or so.

But if I couldn't play throughout the day and just could do one session I gotta think I'd be a lot lower. Ive been managing around 20k per 2 hour boost session if loot isn't anything special in gold 1. If I raid throughout the day with tier one since I have no De draw I just find a quick 1000-1300 De base to raid real quick so I dont have to slow down at all. ATM my average has gone up above 30k per day even with me sitting on my shield a lot more.

Also my gold is going up much faster down here in gold 1 using tier one t oops than it ever did in crystal which is nice. I have been getting side tracked with the all these collector raids.

In the end do what matches your play style if but if you only play in one straight session per day usually I'd think tier one would out perform the long reload times and De draw of loonians.

k, I'll join as well. Just got my Barbarian King to Level 2!:cool:

I'll join too. I just got my king to level 2. xD. I'm town hall 7, so de is hard to go for unless I use about 200k elixir to break deep into a th9s base for the de.

I'm doing a mini version as I'm only a TH8. Upgrading my BK to 8 today. I'm curious to know if there is a noticeable difference when I upgrade to lvl 10?
