experimenting with your guys strategy in high gold1 since i lost some trophies trying to get the hang of tier one again. Doing better now though ive been distracted several time by collector raids since I jsut got my queen going to 14 so I got some time to spare. Now that Ive knocked out a handful of Defense upgrades I will probably start my King going again either this round or next one. Im really hoping having my xbows higher will help once they finish.
X-bows definitely help a lot. I think the lvl 2 to 3 upgrade is the biggest jump from a dps standpoint. And the black ones look pretty cool, which is very important. :)Quote:

I got in an uninterrupted 2 hour boost session last night and loot was pretty crappy in mid Crystal III. I'd say most of my hits were 1200-1500 type raids and I had two or three wifs where I attacked and didn't make it to the DE. (still getting the hang of wallbreaker ai).
Overall, it wasn't great, but I still managed 18k DE over the two hours.
Sitting on 115k DE currently with BK 15 finishing in 1d13h and AQ 15 finishing in 3d15h.
quick note starting to get the hang of these tier one troops. getting faster at getting DE. Work today went super well and i started early so I got home hours early so did two session totally about 3.5 hours or so. which is brutal with this build you guys use and 4 boosts!! man that was alot of raiding but I snagged 37,000 de not to mention about 3 mil gold. I was also boosting spells and king since he was awake. Cant wait to see what an above average de day will be.

I went from raiding every 20 to 40 minutes with balloons/minions to raiding every 5 to 6 minutes with tier 1s on boost.Quote:

I can remember feeling physically and mentally drained at the start after a 4 hour session. I guess it was because I wasn't used to it and so having to try really hard at analysing the bases, deploying the troops, queuing the barracks etc. I wasn't sure which bases I could attack so kept searching a lot longer as well.
Trust me, after a while you switch over to auto-pilot and it becomes very easy. You just know which bases you can attack, you don't have to watch Elixir draining, and you stop caring about trophies.
Once your AQ is maxed then head up to Crystal 1. I can fill a DE storage in 6 x 2 hour sessions (every time) using this strategy. No where else have I seen this beaten.
Watching some replays of high level heroes, I've decided to put two builders on them after I get back from a two week vacation. Pretty inexperienced with DE farming, so not sure what I'll use yet. Thinking giant, WB, barch, gob.

My heroes are both on lvl 15. I use a simple BAM army to farm DE.
Yep, I agree. Like any army comp you get the hang of it over time. I farmed all my skull/lego walls with BAM and I always knew exactly how much I could get before I even attacked. Sometimes if I got bored I'd hit a base that I normally wouldn't just for the challenge/fun, and didn't get bothered if it didn't work out because I had another army completing as soon as I finished.Quote:

Same with this DE strategy, I'm getting closer to the point that I know who I can get, who I can't, and who I might be able to get. Then you throw in the speed of the army build, it isn't that big of a deal if I miss the yummy black juice. :)
One quick update for me, I hit lvl 15 on both of my heroes and am going to take a quick break on the heroes to quickly get the rest of my Defense up to TH9 max. I'm still fully committed to getting them to 40, but a few of my TH8 defenses look really bad on my pretty TH10 base with lego/lava walls. lol
So, I'll be back on the heroes full time in 2-3 weeks. I still have 142k of DE, so I will probably knock out lvl 5 golems during that time, just to get em out of the way. Other than my lvl 1 valks, that would be max for all my DE troops.
I have started using loons. Though someone replied to one of my threads about DE and mentioned this one. He said that it is best to use tier 1 troops for farming. Might start using tier one troops but I don't know how to get all that DE with tier one cause I don't know any good strats. And I only get to play for 1.5 hrs a day and on weekends a little more. What strat would u use for my situation and where would u do it?
Nice thread! I've been farming around 2100-2200 with barch/ giants wbs barbs and archs for de. I get a decent amount of 1.5k+ de raids that are relatively accesable (exposed storage or semi filled drills) and the occasional massive dead base (300+k gold 2+k de) ive kept my heroes pretty much on constant upgrade although I had to use some of my champion league achievement gem fund to keep them going. As a th9 i dont always win at this level with tier 1 so i do have to th snipe when its available. Currently both heroes are headed to 16. Gl and happy farming!
PS. I hate when ppl zap de (other than th 7s that cant get it any other way). Just que rage/heal/jump spells It will be more effective and it wont promt a 3 star revenge from me :rolleyes:
