It's time we do something about low level collectors

We must remember this is a mobile game. It was not designed for players to grind out max walls within 8 months. So yes, I am saying that these players should take a solid break in upgrading these collectors, for the sake of the community. Up until recently, gold would only otherwise be created through league bonus, which was added in later into the game. I imagine most older players have done this already. This whole new fascination disgusts me, the whole theme in the forums seems to be go go go, it's okay to spend 8 hours a day grinding walls, which offer absolutely no incentive once completed. Sure, you would feel like don corleone for a week, then afterwards you seriously question your schedule and as to why so much time is dedicated for CoC. HELP out the more casual players by upgrading your collectors, today!

Oh I 100% agree, I just don't care. I would gladly go out of my way to help anyone who asks to get better at the game, but I'm not going to change how I play because of how it impacts other players. A month is not much out of 2 years, but i've only been playing for about 6 months. I wouldn't be close to maxing TH9 (defenses, not heroes) if I stopped and maxed my elixir collectors.

Also, have you ever had your collectors raided? I honestly don't think they have ever gotten more than a few hours loot out of mine, and even that is rare. By riding shields my collectors are never available to be looted anyway.

I may be a loot parasite, and I'm fine with that. I'm well aware the system would collapse if everyone was like me. Lucky for us, that will never come close to happening.

The best solution is to add an achievement for maxing all collectors. It would encourage players to max them and also add resources into the game.

I think they need to make them more beneficial. I find it hard to rationalize why I should spend so much time upgrading all of them other than so other people can steal more loot from me.

The percentage for which they'd help me is probably less than 10% of what I farm, so it's very hard to rationalize upgrading them.

I've been trying, got like 4 of my elixir collectors up to lvl 10, but it just feels like having to spend so much builder time on them is pointless for my advancement.

I know it helps the community, but that's not normally my goal in this game.

I actually never actually upgraded them to max (still haven't) until TH10 they were lowly level 7-8 when I was a TH9. Farming is far more ludicrous than collecting from pumps and mines.

My farming resource gain rate was greater than the rate of building/upgrades completion. As defense upgrade priorities are greater than Mines/Collectors, it was pushed to a very low priority. So it's not like I didn't want to upgrade them, I simply couldn't as they were constantly busy upgrading something else.

Lazy farmers are lazy. Big deal, stop trying to make people do what pleases you. They can do whatever thing they want. Selfish as hell.

Yes, my collectors get raided daily. They do offer decent loot sometimes as either I was not attacked for several hours, or I was not there to collect before my shield ended. I don't expect anyone to willingly oblige to this, which is why I offered a strict penalty. I also don't expect anyone to sacrifice their own self gain for others, but I digress, that is human nature.

The reason why I do bring this up now, as I went through a little raiding splurge the past week, I have seen much more of these type of bases than eber before. To be honest, I think it definitely has effected the overall loot. Over 8 months with at least 50,000 players looting over 500m GG, and offering so little back to everyone else, that would be part of the reason there is a resource decline.

That would be a wonderful idea, and I bet it would definitely help. The thing is, it would not stop this from happening.

Is this a joke? The idea of looting over 500m GG and offering as little as 1m back to the community, would be the epitome of a selfish act.
