1 year within the CoC World

This is my base as it stands right now. Today is 1 year from the first day I downloaded CoC. First off I want to thank SC for making such an amazing game and having it be available and totally free for anyone who wants to partake in it. I myself have spent maybe $200(?) USD within my year of playing and the vast majority of it was used for boosting barracks, or spell factory, or gemming troops for donations. I've gotten to where I'm at progression wise with extremely minor gem usages for speeding up build times.

I'm maybe 2 weeks away from having TH9 fully maxed defenses and all level 9 walls. My AQ is level 17, my BK is level 16, I'm just shy of 800,000,000 gold grab, I have 2,400,000 dark elixir looted, I've been to champion league, I have more than 50,000 lifetime donates. I have raided fully maxed TH10s equipped with L40 heros and L11 walls purely for the fun of it, and to gain trophies. I have also raided under developed TH8s because I wanted their loot.

Clan Wars was a breath of fresh air for me. I LOVE the challenge of raiding an enemy top 1-5 base to see how much of their base I can destroy with my 220 army space. However the clans I've been in recently have been severely out matched (which I have no problem with, I actually enjoy the challenge) and clan members are afraid to attack, or don't want to waste their resources, or don't want to fight against a seemingly superior clan. So I have attacked and gotten no loot because of the clans lack of participation. So while I love the idea of Clan Wars, and enjoy it, I've yet to find a clan with all TH10-9 players that isn't afraid to war against a top 100 clan even if out matched. So I haven't fully enjoyed CW as a result.

All things considered I feel as if I have experienced almost all that CoC has to offer and it's been a great ride. However as of late I've felt little to no enjoyment from playing CoC and would like to hear input as to wether anyone else feels the same way, or knows how to bring the joy back? A month into TH8 I knew TH8 was the most fun I had found within CoC, and I was able to push to 2726 cups. Then when I hit the ground running as TH9 I knew TH9 was more fun than TH8, and I've pushed to 3261 cups. For this reason I'm holding into the hope TH10 will bring more joy yet than TH9 has.

Congrats for one year! I know a few ways to bring the joy back:
1) Farm or push, switch between the two so it's always fresh!
2) Found a clan. If you make a clan and lead it right, you will experience the true aspect to CoC, the social aspect. If you lead right, you will have a clan that isn't afraid. Meet some people, stick it out through thick and thin. It will be great!
3) Take a break. If you take a break for a few days/a week or two, you will realize how much you miss clash.

Yeah I've been farming for a couple months, in maybe 2-3 weeks once I'm maxed I'll probably do one last trophy push as a TH9. See how high in Champ league I can go. I took a little break not long ago. As for starting a clan? I don't have the time required to lead a clan. I've always been happier following rather than leading a clan.

Honestly I know the match making system is flawed, but I don't mind. As I said I enjoy the challenge of facing a clan with bases superior to my own.

Well I don't have much time lately, with finals and all, but my 2 co leaders are doing great filling in for me. As for the following, I've been in the same family of clans my whole career (too bad our source clan, MIGHTY PEOPLES, broke down) and I worked up to co leader until I asked to make a brother clan. It worked out well, as the leader of the original clan hopped in every once and a while to say hi.

Well SC wanted to make sure every clan found a match, that's why it's flawed. They're working on it! :)

As of this week I have played coc for a year and I'm having the most fun i have ever had farming lvl 10 walls :p

I've tossed around the idea of doing level 10 walls. I have maybe 50 more L9 to knock down. I highly doubt I'll do level 10s. While I would love to have them I doubt I'd have the time needed to acquire them.
