Mortars on edges

I'm looking for a Town Hall 9 trophy base , with mortars on the edges , making it harder to kill heroes and cc troops

Your mortars should never be pushed out to the edges of your base, they should always be centered in the core of your village, as they are your main ground splash damage. Support them with your air defense/splash defenses. And then support those with your single target air and ground defenses. Then you will see much more defensive wins, and less resources lossed.

I'm going to have to say you are incorrect on that one sir. At townhall 9, some things are better placed in the core and make the mortar secondary.

Yeah, actually... also when you get uo high in the leagues, you'll barely see anyone (actually almost nobody on Top #200) who hasn't placed his mortars on the edges. Just because it's not worth anything against the armies used up there.
X-Bows and ITs are much more important to have in the core. ;)

I respectfully disagree as well. Mortars are virtually worthless in the core at higher levels because the troops pushing into your base are essentially immune to them. However, on the edges they make for a very rough time when somebody is trying to lure your CC and Heroes.

This isn't my video, but somebody else posted it here a week or so back and it demonstrates the true power of mortars (and teslas) in the corners quite well. :)

one more vote to disagree with mortars being weak around edges :D

I've had my mortars on the edges of my anti-hog TH9 base since before Christmas, the core is better suited for xbows, CC, couple ADs and teslas.

The Ringus is the base that you are looking for. It has the mortars on the edges and works well against hogs and giants.
