2500 gems. What to spend it on?

I don't think a 5th builder is necessary. With the time you play you won't need another builder, besides what you start upgrading all 4 of your teslas at once.

I suggest saving it for a champ push

If you are on only a couple hours a day I would argue that boosting your barracks is actually more beneficial than not. I I pick up 2500 gems every 2-3 months and simply use it for barrack boost every day or two when I have time to raid. This ensures my 5 builders are always busy. I also use it barrack/spell boost during wars pretty heavily so I can go with attacks within about an hour of each other (I run full dragon/rage spell army, so it takes awhile to train)

Sometimes I'll also pop a few hundred if needed to finish an upgrade early, though I try to avoid that whenever possible. When I boost I only boost 3 barracks (no spell factory or BK) as I almost exclusively barch when I farm. (Boost 2 barracks with archers, 1 barrack with barbs, and have the non-boosted barrack training barbs as well) so it only costs 30 gems.

That gives me about 83 instances of boosted farming (in reality probably around 60 as I do sometimes spend gems on insta-finishes) where I can make approximately 2-3 mil of whichever resource I'm focused on, and 1-2 mil of whichever resource I'm not focused on. Keep in mind boost is 2 hours, so just schedule the 2 hours in your day your getting your clash on and go to town.

Wow mate, thanks alot for telling me! Weekends I usually have heaps of time and me + barch = Fast loot. So I guess Me+Boost+Barch=Even faster loot ;)

With my TH8, I made 3M gold and 1M elix (profit) in those 2 hours. And I'm really bad at farming (I hate collector raids). If you can do this a couple of days, you could finish those defense and start your TH9.

2500 gems is 50 sessions of 50 gems. That's over two months worth of boost if you're not playing often. Most of the time, I gathered enough in 1.5 hours that I could stop even if my bosst is not finished.

Like somebody said, take the time to send some big donations to your clan while on boost. level 5 wiz, level 3 drags.

Try to gather some dark elixir while on boost. The queen will cost you and arm and a leg. But if you gem all that DE, it will cost you too much.

I spent over 1000 gems boosting barracks and it's the only way to keep up with my 4 builders, playing only a couple of hours a day.

Wow man, big thanks for putting so much effort into that post! I love numbers! You really got me, barrack boost is what I will do!

As I am not attacking too much, often rididing shields, I pretty often give my mates lvl 3 Pekka, dragon, lvl 5 wizard and even valks if anyone wants. So that won't be an issue, I have pretty good donations :)

Get the fifth builder and use the remaining Gems to boost barracks n collect loot during weekends.
