I've seen a lot of bases that has TH8/TH9 level defensive buildings but have all MAX LEVEL 11 walls.
How is that even possible without spending tons of gems. All of whom have over billion gold, most have 2 billion. This is in a clan that we have had a war with, this is a chinese clan that I don't know how to say the name as it is in chinese.
Only way to get all level 11 walls without gemming, and only through farming is being online 24/7.
You answered your own question, they're on 24/7
I don't see why that would be impossible, or even "hard".. Compared to a guy with max def as well :)

Not that hard to do. You know those 2 million and 3 million defense upgrades you been doing with your gold? Just stop using the gold on them and just use the gold on the walls.

I was forced to go to TH9 way early because I ran out of walls to build. My 5 builders had been rocking full time since I started playing, but they couldn't keep up with even casual gold farming.
As a TH9, it was the same thing and full lego's were way ahead of builders.
I premied TH10 by about 6 weeks because I wanted the IT's, but I was on pace to finish my lava walls with TH9 buildings. At my normal farming pace, I should have full zap walls completed prior to all my defenses being completed.
I play for about 3 hours every night with one 2 hour boost session and another hour or so non boosted raiding. Weekends I might play for 4 hours boosted. So, it doesn't even take a crazy amount of time to do it.
Now, when you throw in the Chinese kids that DO play for 18 hours a day and throw in some boosts, I can see where full zap walls can be rocking on some very preemie TH10 bases. :)
Simple - don't upgrade defenses, just do walls. I've decided to ignore my lvl 4/5 teslas and lvl 9 archer towers in favor of getting a good amount of my skulls done first.
