For me at TH8, my army composition for Barch:
100 Barbs
80 Archers
10 Wall breakers
+ occasional heal/rage when i have surplus of elixir.
I'm a town hall 9, i never used to barch, but my friend got me into it recently :). At town hall 7 I used BAG (barbarians archers and goblins) with about 8-12 WB. It worked really well back then, you should try it! About 1:2:1 (barbs:archers:gobs). Maxed out town hall 7, walls and all with that. very different strategy to barch though, much better for base penetration (hence the need for WB).
Anyway, back on topic. Right now, i dont use WB at all in my barch, just a very very approximate 50:50 ratio of barbs and archers (usually a few more barbs because of training speed, doesn't really matter). (lvl 6 barbs and archers break <lvl 6 walls pretty quick anyway, so i let them do it:)) I only go for easy collector raids/storage raids close to outside/very, very, very wealthy TH7s. Pretty much just deploy them in a ring with two fingers around the base and it's a guaranteed 50% on TH8s, guaranteed 100% on TH7s if i put my heroes in and usually a 50% on most TH9s i attack. I usually only go for raids with 200k+ gold btw, sometimes a bit less:p. Bear in mind this is with level 6 barchers, I have no idea how it will work out with lvl 4 stuff, but gl:).
P.S. BAM is definitely an alternative, or Giants+archer+gobs

And I'm not using BAM, just for one reason that's it's simply a waste of DE for myself, I'm already struggling to get the DE to upgrade my BK (so bad at looting DE), and keeping it as a TH7 is even another problem.
But whatever. Gonna look into it.
TH8 here with 200 army capacity. I roll with:
8WB
92 archers
92 barbarians
roughly. I essentially train 2WB in each barracks and then two of my barracks I do archers and the other two I do barbs. I may cut it down to 6WB, at the moment I'm finding 8 to be a bit overkill and every drop of elixir counts when you're pumping sciences in the lab!
True. TH8 has a lot of important Lab upgrades, and quite expensive ones (though at TH9+ they're even more expensive :P).Quote:

If you're raiding for gold or elixir go 3/4 archers with barbs to distract mortors nearer the walls. If your not bothered about trophies just keep searching for a base with full collectors or storage at edge of base and forget breakers as mine are now 3000 each! You just need to be patient and avoid bases with less than 60000 elixir and 100000 gold. Also dont use spells otherwise no point raiding as you wont profit on elixir 99% of the time
As a TH8 I use:
barrack #1: 5 wb then the rest barbs
barrack #2: 5 wb then the rest barbs
barrack #3: 4 wb then the rest archers
barrack #4: 4 wb then the rest archers
You can tell I love my wall breakers :D. Usually I wouldn't use all of the wb so I just adjust my barracks accordingly.
