Just curious, why would someone start a TH upgrade (say from 9 to 10) & then cancel it on the last day (& do this more the once)? What purpose does it serve? TIA

The purpose it serves is to not be premie. That's pretty much it.
Because if the guy still has some upgrades to do in his village and clicked on next th level he will cancel it to avoid from loot penalty that he might face.
Sounds like my gf when deciding what to have for dinner, what activities to do, what jewelry to buy... But as far as I know, she doesn't play CoC. Or does she?
Is there a cost involved? If not it's a way to bank (protect) resources.....
No idea....
This really just seems like a waste of resources to me!
This happened to a clan member of mine. One day away from his th finally being upgraded his kid jumped on to his ipad and hit cancel.
could been poor planning or wanted a building to start upgrading to finish with the th10 but was not able to.
Canceling more then once? and so late? no idea, it is a waiste of building/upgrading time too.
Lol i know ppl who cancelled 5 times before actually going through with it. Its a combination of not having totally maxed and complete panic mode as everyone will tell ya ...Loot is going to be a shocker at first. You will get used to the penalty but its a tough.
Once upgraded you cannot reverse it so , losing 50% gold on a cancellation is nothing compared to calming down the rising panic the closer it gets to completion ;)
