Is it worth it?

Is it worth it to max level 8 walls at town hall 8? I have 112 (50%) at level 8 with everything else in defense is maxed, and I am thinking of upgrading to town hall 9. Should I max walls first, or just go for the upgrade?

Yes, I didn't at th8, didn't even get them all to level 7 and I regret it

Easiest time to do them is TH8..you are only adding 25 walls at TH9 to bring to same level.

Skulls will carry you through to the end of TH10 while you focus on defence :D

Not a huge deal if you don't, but I'd say it's definitely worth it.

I was having the same problem as the OP. I have been sitting on max everything except walls and barb king for the longest time now. I have also had full elixir as a result.

I decided to move on to TH 9 because I would like to get some level 6 troops!

It would be your best bet so you don't have to worry about them later levels.

What do you want out of the game? If this is your last level of walls you will realistically do, then yeah, just upgrade now and knock them out slowly.

A sleeping builder is an unhappy builder...

The level of walls doesn't really matter that much so I'd go (I did actually and never regretted it).

Of course, if you make this leap you will likely never upgrade the walls since there is so many defenses to upgrade in TH9 and TH10. I am TH10 for a couple months now and I still only have maybe 40 skulls with the rest purple.

It is true that there will never be a better time than now, but it is also true that sleeping builders is your biggest hindrance to an improved base.

I recommend doing them now. At TH9 your builders will be working all day every day getting all the new stuff so you won't have the time for walls. Also, at TH9 you suffer a loot penalty and you are in TH10 raiding range (meaning TH10s will now attack you for loot). I rushed to TH9 without finishing them but then, once I finished all my buildings for TH9, I made sure to upgrade my walls to 8. Now I have 12 at Level 9 and the rest at 8. I am content with the walls as of now while I focus on defenses. Lets not forget that purple walls look ugly and at Level 8 they start looking cool;):cool:
