This would be a true multiplayer experience for two players.
Player would select deathmatch and be matched with another player.
First the players are matched and see a random playing field that has resource collectors that contain loot as well as storage that has loot. Some loot might be within walls. Random defenses could also be placed around the map to add difficulty to the event.
Next each player select their troops using their own resources, but from a normalized pool of troops. Meaning that if someone has level 3 dragons and the other has level 2 dragons, both are able to use level 3 dragons.
Once they have both selected their troops the game begins with a 3 minute timer.
Each player can spawn their units wherever they like. Someone can choose to spawn near a collector to try and drain loot. However they are sitting ducks as the troop is focusing on the resource collector. The loot would be dispersed around the map so just dropping a ton of goblins might get you one container quick, but someone else with archers could kill em off and then go drain the others.
All units have to be spawned in the first 2 minutes. Or you lose them.
Win criteria could be one of two options :
loot - who gets the most
kills - who kills the most
