Why Do Non-Maxed bases trophy push often?

The question is exactly what the title entails, on why is it that certain people and clans as a whole trophy push often(Once a Month) when many of their bases are nowhere near maxed out? That time easily could be used to loot more efficiently in lower leagues. What do you guys think? This question mostly pertains to the players who actually trophy push on a monthly basis and are not maxed out. Seems to me like it would be better to max then push as opposed to going back and forth between your goals.

I agree with you. I am a TH8 and still have a long time to go. I stick around a 1250-1350 trophy range. I sometimes push just to see how high I can make it. Especially if all of my builders are going to be busy for a few days or more.

I think people get burned out on farming and want to try something different. It can be fun to test your base out and actually attack with the hopes of winning rather than looting. That said, I agree it can interrupt your farming and isn't efficient. They probably find it fun.

Clans do pushes to cultivate comradarie among clan mates.

Players join the push to practise using high tier armies.

I suspect with clan wars introduced, clan will tend to push less.

Pushes are good especially now with clan wars out so people get experience in attacking stronger bases and learning better defense strategies. Plus its good to break the monotony of farming non stop and shakes things up a bit.

Our clan did 3 trophy pushes in the year before the CW update, its paying off tremendously in CW now! Our players are using gowiwi, loonion and hogs to get 3 stars while we're being attacked by mass Level 1/2 drags, hilarious.

I'm a th 9 pushing to masters for the glory, gems, and the great loot up there. Why else?

Pushing is the best thing you can do for building raiding skills. Each time you push your natural farming point increases as you feel more comfortable taking on bigger bases.

Our TH8s that pushed to master using hogs have all become very very good TH9s raiders as they get better toys :D

Agree with mike here, if all you do is farm and practice with farming troops, you wont get the experience needed with the more expensive troops, and you don't really want to practice in clan wars as you could let your clan down.

It is also fun to see how your base holds up in higher cup ranges :)

I pushed to Master as a lvl 77 Th8.

Very challenging, but also very satisfying.

And I didn't do it through town hall sniping, but through lvl 4 hogs.

The whole thing greatly improved my attacking skill, so I didn't become a serial collector barcher with only a cool looking base.

could also ask the question. Why do farmers farm when 99.999% will never completely max their base.

Because its boring as hell farming all the time. What's the point of having a fast car if you don't drive quickly every now and again. And you don't need a Ferrari to drive fast.

+2 on this. It is fun to see your base tested and it does help your skills. I do find that trophie pushing gets old quickly though, as I miss raiding every 20 to 30 minutes. I am not your typical collector raids only farmer though, so I do get a challenge from farming too.

I was hoping with clan wars I could also see my base tested, but in 10 clan wars I have been attacked once. Top base has yet to be attacked in my clan.

It's just a way to cure boredom and to see how far you can go. Trophy pushing has nothing to do with your bases defence. The whole game up there is offence. Look at the top leader board, there's only a small handful of defensive wins up there. Trophy pushes are a way of bringing the clan closer together and striving to do the best they can do playing for cups. Farming all the time gets tedious so you have to mix it up a bit sometimes.

Farming for too long gets boring. Trophy pushing at any time in the game is just a fun way for a change of pace and to test your own skill at the game if you take your pushing "seriously"

For a long time farmer trophoe pushing has a lot to do with defense. My townhall has been outside so long, it's not even funny. Trophie pushing is about the only way I will see my base tested. Never pushed high enough to see where defense does not matter.

Because its a challenge? fun? exciting? a change from farming? many more reasons.

I push to get the achievements as soon as possible and to prove to myself I can achieve them.
Like when I went to masters as a TH8.

Also, anyone can do it with a TH9, so I wanted to do it as a TH8 so that it means something to me.

Just a little challenge, its fun at times.

We give chance for our mid-low level players to get more attentions in global with their crystal badge.

Im a th7 and I sometimes do a massive trophy push so I can get in the high dark elixir loot territory.

This was my reason. I got burned out farming and just decided to go for 2k when I was TH7? or 8 can't recall. Plus you can get the gem bonus at the higher trophy levels which are nice.

3. DE loot
4. if all builders are on 8+ day building times why wouldnt you keep on battling? You have 8 days to refill your storages to max so why stay in damage protection or try to stay online forever like some chumps? Give back to the community so it continues to grow which means less clouds for all, more loot for all, and Clash of clans can become the world of warcraft of phone games instead of the insert generic mmo that dies in a year. people got to think when they are playing this game about the bigger picture.

You don't have to be maxed to push, it's actually a lot funner always being the underdog and destroying maxed bases :)

Because farming all the time is sooo boring. I'm TH8 and I reached Masters League last week. Was it worth it? Of course because I got so much attention in global😄

We do this. . there are lots of reasons for a monthly push!

A change of pace

A good reason to learn to use different troop combinations (upgrading them is pointless if we arent using them)

It can be great attack practise

It brings team mates together for a little in-clan competition

Plus being able to hold a decent league position for the clan level can be a useful recruitment tool for bringing in decent members.

Jst to keep players interested..pushing would b a good break from farming

Farming for months can get boring sometimes. Just attacking lower levels....trophy pushes give you a challenge and a change in you gameplay :P
