Why Do Non-Maxed bases trophy push often?

The question is exactly what the title entails, on why is it that certain people and clans as a whole trophy push often(Once a Month) when many of their bases are nowhere near maxed out? That time easily could be used to loot more efficiently in lower leagues. What do you guys think? This question mostly pertains to the players who actually trophy push on a monthly basis and are not maxed out. Seems to me like it would be better to max then push as opposed to going back and forth between your goals.

I agree with you. I am a TH8 and still have a long time to go. I stick around a 1250-1350 trophy range. I sometimes push just to see how high I can make it. Especially if all of my builders are going to be busy for a few days or more.

I think people get burned out on farming and want to try something different. It can be fun to test your base out and actually attack with the hopes of winning rather than looting. That said, I agree it can interrupt your farming and isn't efficient. They probably find it fun.

Clans do pushes to cultivate comradarie among clan mates.

Players join the push to practise using high tier armies.

I suspect with clan wars introduced, clan will tend to push less.

Pushes are good especially now with clan wars out so people get experience in attacking stronger bases and learning better defense strategies. Plus its good to break the monotony of farming non stop and shakes things up a bit.

Our clan did 3 trophy pushes in the year before the CW update, its paying off tremendously in CW now! Our players are using gowiwi, loonion and hogs to get 3 stars while we're being attacked by mass Level 1/2 drags, hilarious.

Agree with this answer.

I'm a th 9 pushing to masters for the glory, gems, and the great loot up there. Why else?

Pushing is the best thing you can do for building raiding skills. Each time you push your natural farming point increases as you feel more comfortable taking on bigger bases.

Our TH8s that pushed to master using hogs have all become very very good TH9s raiders as they get better toys :D
